Description

Easily remove your electric-steer, bow-mount trolling motor. High-yield composite construction is super strong and impervious to corrosion and specifically designed for higher thrust motors and longer shaft lengths. Low- profile design leaves deck clear when motor is removed. Locking handle with stainless steel pins can be secured with padlock (padlock not included, sold separately). NOTE: Recommended for 112 lb. thrust and 72" shaft trolling motors. Designed for use in freshwater.

    • Poorly Designed Locking Pin
Minn Kota machines down the locking pin to a size you can't get a decent padlock through. This significantly impacts the choices you have for locks.

I bought this mount to use with my 112 Ulterra 72". Dropping the bracket & motor onto the mounting plate is SO much easier than lining up and sliding in like my other minkota mount. I like that the locking mechanism is a bar instead of a thumbscrew threaded into aluminum which has stripped out on me a couple times on my other mount. I also like how solid it is, my other mount would have some play and you hear a clank when engage/disengage the motor. This one is very quiet. The only major complaint I have is removing the trolling motor in sub freezing temps after fishing. Last weekend it was 30 degrees the morning I packed up and I had to use a hammer and a long punch to alternating incrementally drive the locking pins through the mount body. Dont get me wrong, nothing works well at that temp but this frustrated me. Overall a great product, a bit spendy. ... show more

In my view, this makes installation much easier. My install was on a fishing pontoon boat. Securing the Ulterra to the floor was next to impossible given the bolt locations and inability to access them to use as a template. This is a robust mount that works.
