Needed a way to securely mount a Lowrance transducer of my Elite 4X HDI to my Minn Kota Fortex trolling motor. My onboard transducer unit was disconnected so I needed an external transducer. Since this was from Minn Kota it seemed right for my unit. It fit with a slight bending of the bracket to fit around the housing base. The one clamp provided secured the bracket firmly. Add another if you think it needs 2 but only 1 is provided. The white spacers come in two sizes to help position the transducer in the bracket. Tightened so it didn't move without some effort but not too tight. Worked perfectly, keeps the transducer in position when using it for accurately knowing depth and locating fish. ... show more

Yes, this works as expected, and is perfect for the person who does not want to permanently mount their transducer (like me)! I did have to substitute a different size spacer as the transducer for my Garmin Striker 4 Plus fit too snug/loose with the provided spacers. Any man worth the air he consumes, should also be able to improvise, if needed. Great product! ... show more

    • Check the TR motor size
I had no major problems with the transducer but I had to make some adjustments to get it to fit. I may not have read the description well enough to understand that there are various size limitations of trolling motors to which the transducer cover will not fit. If the size information was mentioned, it apparently was not as noticeable as it could be. That's an important point. I have an 80# thrust MK Fortrex and the cover was no large enough, I used a mallet to enlarge the circumference of the motor and zip ties to secure the cover. While it' s not the prettiest, it does the job and I'm pleased with the result. ... show more
