We have them in their bedrooms so they can turn on and off their lights and tvs and stuff. They like it has a smart home expensive feeling even though these are not expensive. Plus i can turn everyones stuff off from our main hub so works great when everyone leaves their lights and stuff on and leave the house. Easy to set up for us at least. Great plug with lots of features. E.g. You can select a circulate timer to auto switch on for 5 minutes for every hour, instead of requiring to set multiple on and off schedules. And even if you cut its power off, it will remember its last state, but you have to go to a setting to do that. Go to Smart Life app > Device > Setting > Relay Status > Remember Last status. This will help if you have a switch at a distance to control power to the smart plug. So if the smart switch was last turned on, and you turn off using the external switch and then turn it on later, it will remember it was on and defaults to being off. ... show more

    • Easy to set up, but doesn't always work.

This was super easy to setup. I set one up in the garage to turn on some outside lights on a routine. Sometimes I have to toggle the power though because Alexa says it's not working right.... To be fair, it's possible it could be a signal thing (even though we have a really strong router thing with monster antennas and my devices have wifi pretty much anywhere on the property). The garage might be the weakest point for wifi due to the construction materials between the router and the box. I haven't set up the 2nd one, but when I do I'll probably use it someplace with a better wifi signal and then I'll know for sure if it's a the product or the place it's installed. ... show more

These do work. However, they use very old WiFi tech in the 802.11g range. This limits their usability and stability dramatically. I do like what you can do with them through the Tuya/Smart Life app. But the WiFi tech makes the range limited and slow.
