This is the 2nd machine I'm returning. The first one was a different brand and wouldn't work properly either (similar type machine), so I explored and found this one with mostly good reviews. I should've read the poor reviews because that is exactly what this machine deserves. Before giving this to my granddaughter (the first one I gave her for Christmas and I didn't open it to test it out - it got returned for lack of working- it kept jamming). So this is the replacement I bought. I had it sent to myself so I could test it out before giving to her. I sewed the elastic band inside my pajamas perfectly. It worked like a charm. I decided I would cut up a t-shirt and sew some seams and do some test stitches to give to my granddaughter along with the machine. I did this immediately after sewing the pajamas. I hadn't changed any settings or anything. When trying to sew the tshirt, the thread kept coming out of the needle. I kept rethreading it but then when the thread didn't come out, it would constantly jam and not sew any stitches at all. The needle broke! I tried putting a new needle in that came with the machine. The needle would not go in (flat side to the right as per instructions). I have experience with sewing machines and know how to thread a machine and replace needles. No matter what I did while the screw was loose, the needle would not go into the hole. I guess I'm going to have to spend a little more money so my granddaughter doesn't get disappointed with a crappy machine. DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP! This machine isn't worth a quarter!

This really is a great little sewing machine for beginners. I gave it to my granddaughter for her 10th birthday a year ago and she still likes to sew on it and it's very easy for her. I want to order some more bobbins but not sure what size so if anyone can help with this, please advise. I'm not able to get through to the customer service for the sewing machine company. Otherwise I recommend it for a beginner.

I ordered this machines for my 10-year-old daughter. I wanted her to learn how to sew. She did a pretty decent job with it. But in two month after purchase one piece of the foot pedal came off. I contacted the seller and although the return window expired he promised me to send a new item.

I bought this sewing machine for my daughters 7th birthday gift. She loves to watch me sew, but I wanted something smaller for her to learn on and be able to handle herself. She did her first project on it last week. It went very well, other than on hiccup where she forgot to drop the foot and the thread jammed up. It took me a few minutes to figure it and but I got it back up and running and she was able to complete her pillow she was making. So far very happy with this little sewing machine.
