I'm pretty sure I got a refurbished item. It was pre-threaded and had a piece of fabric with test stitches, as the photos show. The way the needle came inserted is siper inconvenient, I have to maneuver weirdly to thread it from back to front instead of side to side. I tried to adjust it but am unable to. It's super inconvenient. It does sew pretty well, though. I'm a beginner and haven't done any major projects, but it works well for me at this time. The stitches come out as advertised, it's easy to thread (except the needle), and the backstitch function works great. ... show more

I haven’t used it yet but I might have to shortly. Just wanted a small machine for repairs and such. I ordered the one with the added material rest because I don’t have a lot of space. I don’t have a regular table and chair butI have a foldaway that you can adjust the height. I hope sewing is like riding a bike, it’s been a long time. This machine in cludes some dial in extra stitches and a pedal and plugs into electric. It’s lightweight so you can put it anywhere. Looks pretty good. ... show more
