  • Great coffee maker so far upgrade over previous generations Great coffee maker so far upgrade over previous generations
Color: Gray Pattern Name: Coffee Maker
OK so this review is an overall review of not just the product but Amazon as well. I have had this machine around 3 months now. The machine itself is amazing. The ease of use from the previous generation one is night and day. Things i like: The handle on the water reservoir.. finally.. LoL. The reservoir plastic is also thicker and more durable. My previous model reservoir was thinner plastic and cracked and it was also curved. This machine's water container is rectangular so more solid. That in itself makes this machine worth it. This machine makes hotter coffee and the over ice feature is nice. I love the grey color. What i dont like: Lid will not close all the way with reusable K-cups. Will not close even with the Keurig branded ones. This is only cosmetic it seems though. Functionality seems unchanged. When i use this coffee maker the LED lights in the kitchen will flicker. The previous model did NOT do this and had similar wattage rating and a grounded plug. The wattage is listed on this newer machine is 1520W. the only other thing on the same circuit is the LED lights. This coffee maker does NOT have a grounded plug. Maybe this is why the lights flicker? I got a great price on this for Black Friday time. The first one i got was DoA and would not turn on. It had very obviously been repackaged and retaped. Getting an Amazon chat associate is not as easy as it should be. The AI questions absolutely suck! I was able to finally get a rep on chat and they did make it right. Had UPS come and pick it up at my home which saved me a trip to the UPS store that has lines out the door. The new machine I received is working great so far! ... show more

  • EASY REPLACEMENT AFTER THE MACHINE QUIT WORKING LESS THAN A YEAR OLD.
Color: White Pattern Name: Coffee Maker
I’m changing my review because Keurig made it so easy to receive a new replacement coffee machine. Has been less than a year and this machine suddenly stopped working. Really disappointed. This is way too expensive for it to be something you would consider purchasing. I’ve unplugged and waited and tried again a few minutes again. I unplugged and tried it again several hours later but still won’t come on. ... show more

  • About a 2 yr lifespan
Color: Black Pattern Name: Coffee Maker
Nice small footprint and water reservoir is a decent capacity. The only downside is that this model appears to last for only about 2 yrs. This is the 3rd one I've purchased in 4 years. Works great until it just suddenly quits. I use it every day so I'm ok with the 2yr life considering the purchase price and the footprint is ideal for my countertop. ... show more

  • Loyal Keurig User
Color: Black Pattern Name: Coffee Maker
Perfect for individuals or couples who don't drink enough coffee to make a full pot and waste the rest. My wife and I typically only drink about 3 cups each morning. We used to brew coffee by the pot, but even limiting the brew to four cups, we still ended up wasting a cup. Our previous Keurig K-Supreme stopped working, so we tried another brand that offered both K-Cup and coffee pot capabilities. We were expecting company for Christmas, and this seemed to be a good idea at the time. The Keurig K-Supreme provides a much more robust flavor and gives a comparable amount of coffee in about half the time of the other brand. We purchased the other brand about a month before Christmas, so we could try to adapt to it. After a week, I ordered the K-Supreme and stored it until after the company left at the end of the holidays. The K-Supreme is easy to use, fits on the coffee station counter, and under the cabinet with no problem. If there is any fault with the K-Supreme, it is the tendency to fail after several de-scaling periods. I think the solution would be to de-scale the unit more regularly and not wait until the warning light goes off. It may be the mineral content of our water, but we do use and replace the water filter in the tank regularly. I have seen cleaning tablets offered on Amazon. I plan on giving those a try. The only other nit to pick, and it is probably the result of using fine-ground coffee in the mesh pod that comes with the brewer. We had purchased ground coffee for use in the brewer from the other company. It works just fine and does not pass the fine grounds through the mesh, but the grounds get so tightly packed during brewing that it is difficult to clear the grounds from the mesh cup. After the ground coffee is gone, we will switch to medium grind. ... show more

  • Best Cup of Coffee
Color: Black Pattern Name: Coffee Maker
I upgraded my previous Keurig coffee maker that I bought in 2013. It was worth the upgrade. I like how easy this machine is to use. Easy setup: Right out of the box there was little that needed to be done. Just remove factory tape, plug it in and run a single water only cycle and good to go. Taste: I use a quality coffee. I played with the "strong" button and that was one of the best cups of coffee I've had. Speed: Hot water on demand. This machine heats the water right before it hits the pod. There is no internal reservoir the water is first pumped into to heat first. This means the speed of use is much faster. My previous unit had this and it took a bit longer to get that first cup. Because there is no internal reservoir there is less places for scaling to take place. Using filtered water also reduces this buildup. Extraction: This unit is cooler than some other units and extracts at 192 with a final cup temp of about 165. This is less than coffee enthusiasts recommend. I taste no difference as my coffee still had a rich and bold flavor. For someone who enjoys coffee without all the fine tuning this works great. Ascetically pleasing: I love how small this unit is and how it looks on the counter. It doesn't have a LCD readout with the time or a way to auto set for an automatic cup. The hot water on demand eliminates this need. Just turn it on and you have a cup in maybe a minute. Also, without an LCD display, less to break. Clean up: The area that the pod is inserted in is not concave as my previous unit was. It can be easily wiped clean. My previous unit could get a buildup of crud around the pod area. That can't happen with this unit. Descaling setting: While I've not used it yet, I like that it has a descaling setting when I do clean out my machine. My previous didn't have this and it took longer to run cycles. Cons: Factory taste!! My first two cups of coffee tasted like crap. I assumed this was because it was still getting the factory taste out of the unit. On the 3rd attempt I used the "strong" button and wow I tasted a difference. I'm also using zero water for my coffee. Overall if you want a "no thrills" machine that makes coffee fast and very well then I recommend this product. ... show more

  • The new multi-stream makes a good smooth cup
Color: Gray Pattern Name: Coffee Maker
Keurig® K-Supreme Single-Serve K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker, MultiStream Technology, Gray The coffee maker comes packaged in a retail box, exactly as you'd see on the shelf in the store. There are photos on the outside and basic specifications listed. Opening the box, right on top. You have what appears to be an instruction booklet, a filter assembly, and a coffee filter. The coffee maker is cushioned well using recyclable pulp-style cardboard packing. The coffee maker itself is further. Cushioned by a large foam bag. The removable pieces of the coffee maker are taped with that removable appliance tape we're all familiar with. One feature of the coffee maker that I hadn't realized from the pictures in the ad, the water reservoir has a large handle molded into it, to make it easier to pick up and move when you're refilling it. The lid over the pod section is very different from their earlier machines, it has five prongs that protrude out from the upper gasket, what looks like an oversized piercing needle, and four locator/ spacer prongs. The pod holder does pop out for cleaning or using a bulk coffee adapter, but it is pretty stiff to remove. It has a locator notch and three little snaps around the circumference to lock it in place. When setting up the coffee maker, after washing the reservoir, you'll have to soak the carbon filter assembly before putting it into the filter holder. The filter holder is a little different from what I've seen in the past, this one is completely clear plastic and has a snap arrangement at the bottom for the filter. You have to press both sides at once to get the filter holder out, which isn't evident at first. If you look closely at the two sides you'll see where you are supposed to press. There is a paper insert in the same plastic bag that holds the filter assembly, giving you step-by-step instructions and some helpful pictures. Looking at the packet with the instruction booklet, they note in several places that this is a new design that can use standard pods, but if you wish to use bulk coffee, you'll need a new adapter as the bulk coffee K-cup adapter is different from the old style. They have an explicit warning stating that you must use the new style adapter with the machine, and that the older style is not compatible. After cleaning and soaking the carbon pod for the water filtering, you'll have to make certain that you rinse it thoroughly, as there is indeed some charcoal dust that will come out of the filter. After you have put it into the new style holder, the holder has a snap-in locking mount at the bottom of the water tank. It takes a little bit of fiddling about, but once you have it in the right position it will click and snap into place. The new instructions for this machine recommend what they call a cleansing brew before trying to make coffee in it. When you first plug it in, all four cup sizes will blink. They recommend choosing the 8 oz button and then pressing the brew to start a cleansing brew to clean the machine. They note that you only have to do this one time, but I would recommend doing this after making hot chocolate or similar powdered non-coffee brews, as if the chocolate dries in the needles it can clog things up. Up. Also included in the instruction pack is a notation that you can save 50% off of K-cups from Keurig.com if you register your new coffee maker, and they also include printed grocery coupons for money off of pods and the descaling liquid they recommend. Making coffee with this machine is a similar procedure to the ones they've had in the past. The difference is what the machine does to the pod. Those five little protrusions under the lid all poke into the top of the pod, so you're used. Pod has a pattern of holes on the top in it like a five on a die. The bottom of the pod still has one hole, like we've seen in the past. I can only presume that those five holes are all pushing steam and hot water into the pod to process the coffee better. Personally, I can't see where it changes the taste of the coffee much, it tastes like it always does. Hot, smooth, and full. Being naturally curious, I had to pick open the cover on the used pod. To me, it seems like the used pods' grounds are dryer than some of the old ones. I think this is where the five holes in the top come in. The machine has forced the water (As steam?) through the pod harder and faster to thoroughly brew the coffee. ... show more

  • Great product but it stopped working after 8 months. The warrantee was honored.
Color: Black Pattern Name: Coffee Maker
I've used Keurig coffee makers for many years. I really like the K-Supreme. It's compact, brews a cup of coffee quickly, has a strong brew option and I like having the serving size options (4, 8, 10 and 12oz). The problem I had is it stopped working after 8 months - it would not power on. Granted I used the coffee maker a lot - 5 to 6 cups a day - but it should last longer than 8 months. My guess, and it's just a guess, is the thermal fuse went - there was a slight "burnt electronics" smell when it stopped working. Keurig did honor the 1 year warrantee and shipped me a brand new replacement unit at no cost and I did not have to return the defective unit. A word of warning, I had to prove the unit was purchased on Amazon and shipped directly by Amazon. Apparently, Keurig may not honor the warrantee if the unit was purchased from a third party seller. The warrantee claim process was challenging at best. The call center is most likely overseas. Information like your email address is repeated back to you in a Alpha Charlie Bravo manner. Even with that, the Agent got it wrong and I waited about a week for an email to start the claims process. A call back confirmand they had my email address wrong. I submitted the required proof of purchased information and my claim was denied. Another call resolved that when I pointed out the receipt showed I purchased the item on Amazon and I told the Agent I had additional proof the unit was shipped directly by Amazon. My claim was then approved and I received a brand new replacement with all accessories in about one week. ... show more

  • Great Until It Isn't
Color: Black Pattern Name: Coffee Maker
Great right out of the box. More features than the household could possibly use, so experimenting with styles of brews was an added bonus! Always consistent performance, made great cups of coffee. Until it didn't. About 1.5 years into everyday use, it just stopped working. For the overall cost, it is not unreasonable to expect it to last 3, even 5 years, if not much more. Unfortunately, not the first time Keurig coffee maker has not lasted more than 2 years. No heavy use, just daily. Routinely cleaned and maintained, even following the manufacturer's schedule for cleaning and descaling. Makes a great cup of coffee, just not for very long. ... show more
