The product page for this item has several choices of what to include in the order. The specific option that I chose is a simple sewing kit meant for use with a handheld sewing machine. Users should know up front, though, that this kit option does not come with the actual machine. If you want the actual machine, please check the product page options for it. This kit option does include the following: 1 compact carry case, 1 thimble, 1 Taylor's tape measure, 1 scissors, 1 seam ripper, 1 safety pin, 2 sewing pins, 2 flattened metallic pieces that look like they are meant for gripping and seperating threads of stitches, several small buttons, a hard plastic container with several sewing needles inside, and 14 small spools of thread in a variety of colors. All pieces in this kit are of a miniature or travel size compatable with the seller's model of handheld sewing machine. I don't know if they are universal to all handheld models, as using these is still a new experience for me. If you need to know, check the product page or ask the seller. So far as I can tell, all mentioned pieces of this kit contained within the carry case are in great condition and appear to be of at least a decent quality, some pieces perhaps a bit better. The carry case looks to be mostly of high quality, but ironically, it does have a stitching issue. I'm not sure if it's just long tail ends that weren't trimmed close enough, or if it's actually broken threads that could end up unraveling. Will keep watch on it and mend accordingly. While not the biggest issue in the world, it's still mildly annoying. As for the rest of the case, it's made with canvas type material, which is not super thick at all but still feels reasonably strong and durable for canvas fabric material. It is slightly rough textured due to the canvas. Both halves of the inside have several elastic bands sewn-in to help hold supplies in place. They seem to be decent quality. The elastic feels strong but not overly difficult to maneuver. So long as users only attempt to place items sized to fit in here, then there should be no issue with these bands. They seem to be stitched well, too. Each half also feels to me like it contains a flat, solid, hardened, plate of some kind sewn inside, presumeably to harden the case a bit and protect the contents. The case is opened or closed with a zipper, which is not heavy-duty but is still of decent quality and functional. 4 out of 5 stars. ... show more

Perfectly as pictured. I use the seem ripper all the time, it’s just want you need to quick fixes and touch ups. The thread is good quality and doesn’t snap easily. It’s the perfect size for traveling or to stick into your purse.

So when I ordered this, I thought I was ordering the actual handheld machine, so I was disappointed when I only received the accessory kit. That said, I realize that was a user error, so I'm not knocking anything for that. Just be careful to make sure you choose the right item when shopping. As for the kit itself- it's a pretty solid little kit. It's a perfect size to toss into a bag for emergencies, and it comes with everything you'd need to get the job done. The thread is thin so you'll need to be careful with your knots, but it does seem strong, so that's a plus. I even tested the little scissors out and, while they're nothing fancy, they worked well, are compact, and lightweight, so you can't ask for much more than that. The only downside is the needle case came damaged. My guess is it was damaged in transit because the thimble wasn't in it's hoop when I first opened it up, and the needle case was cracked- presumably by the thimble when the package was in the mail. Overall, it's a great little kit with all the necessities and the price really can't be beat. ... show more
