  • Updated Review For --- AWWWWW-King?
This is an honest and unpaid review of the replacement projector Auking sent me recently. Upgraded Projector I ordered the yellow and white Auking projector and was very dissatisfied with it. The original review may be seen below this review. Customer Service: The Auking people saw my review on Amazon and shortly after contacted me via email. They were apologetic about my negative experience with the projector and requested to send me an upgraded projector as a replacement. I agreed because I was impressed. In this age where far too many companies exhibit disdain for customers once they have your money, Auking's efforts and attitude was a very welcome change. Their customer service responds quickly to any reply you send them. The replacement projector arrived just as quickly and on the day they said to expect it. They sent a follow-up email asking to verify the shipment did indeed arrive. Clearly, they want their customers to be happy with purchases. This is evident again compared to another frustrating experience I've had with other businesses. Auking responds on a personal level. You don't get the canned lip service that basically just says, sorry, but too bad. Nor it seems do you get a reply asking you to contact them, sometimes providing an email address, then when you do, those businesses never respond. It's all for show and nothing else. Auking didn't do that. The Upgraded Projector: This time it was a white unit with a black face and black stripe on top. It didn't bear the Auking or any other brand name on it. However, it seems to be an exact duplicate of the GRC branded Mini Projector that appears on Amazon. And yes, slightly brighter than the first one I got. Now, how I use it isn't a one size fits all, so my experience may differ from yours. What I Liked: 1. First of all, the projector starts up immediately. No delay, you turn it on and it displays right away. No warming up or waiting for the display, it's simply ON. 2. My wife and I use the projector mostly to project scanned images of church hymns on screen. The purpose being to video us presenting the hymns in American Sign Language (ASL) for Deaf people. We found such images to be pretty crystal clear toward the lower part of the screen and much less so in the upper part. I tried using text instead. Text was slightly fuzzy and a bit smallish despite manipulating the focus. The fuzziness seems to appear when the screw allowing you to tilt the projector up is used. A flat, direct aim at the screen doesn't show any fuzziness. So the projector is serviceable. It probably would help if text display was black or displayed on a black screen. I do believe if I used my laptop, text would be clear. Instead, I tried it via a USB thumb drive. 3. Getting set up and started is quick and easy, no time-wasting fussing with things. Just plug your device in, plug in the power cable, and you're ready to go. 4. Movie colors seem a bit washed out, but this is a low cost mini projector not a 1 - 2 thousand dollars machine. So for what the upgrade projector costs and what it gives as a result is a pretty good balance. I can see myself having a few friends over for a late evening cookout, using portable tables, and lawn seats, enjoying an action, sci-fi, or documentary movie outdoors during summer. Comment1: I can't give feedback on the quality of the sound unless and until my grown children or grandkids are present during movies. See, my wife and I are Deaf. Maybe this summer, neighbors will wander over to join us, and I'd ask them. Comment2: In sending me a replacement projector, Auking didn't even ask me to send the original projector back. If that remains true, I will gift it to either my daughter in Hawaii or my grandkids in Kentucky. They'd very likely enjoy it despite its shortcomings. I think going this far shows that Auking really wants their customers to be happy with their products and doing business with them. If your expectations are realistic for the projector, you will enjoy both the product and their customer service. I hope they come out with a more powerful unit that doesn't cost the same as downpayment on a new car. I'm sure they'd attract a lot of customers as a result. What I Don't Like: -Then lens cap can't be secured. It falls off and easily gets lost as a result. -The power cable, I find hard to insert to projector receptacle. I have to literally force it in with some effort. -The fact it is an exact duplicate of the GRC branded projector. It sort of provokes a sense of suspicion. Suggestions: A. It would be nice if the projector came with a padded carrying case for easier carrying and protecting it from damage due to bumping it against things, or dropping it. B. Make the lens cap either screw on or snap on so it doesn't just fall off so easily. C. If there is an association between Auking and GRC (or other similar projector brands), admit it for the sake of your credibility. Previous Evaluation Below--- The good - Compact. Light. Easy to travel with. Fast & Easy hookups. Pretty Chassis The bad - Power cable too short. I dislike the slide show mode. Useless for PPT use unless each slide is saved as an image. The ugly - Projector images look washed up, unclear, and not worth trying to watch even in a totally dark setting. I think I'm past the deadline date, but if I wasn't, I'd return the projector for a refund. ... show more

  • It's good for the price, the audio is rough depending on what you are watching with
I think this is a great product for what I paid (I got it on sale). You can adjust the screen clarity depending on the distance you have it at. The rote is very helpful, it allows you to adjust the volume from a distance, and it takes AAA batteries. So far I have been satisfied with it, I just wish there was a way to make the audio clearer or louder since on certain apps it isn't loud enough. PS. Netflix doesn't seem to allow audio to come through the projector when using HDMI. Overall, a good product for the price. ... show more

  • Good little projector
This is a decent little projector. I bought it for projecting images for art. You have to connect it to computer or memory card. I only wish it had Bluetooth capability. So far happy with the quality and purchase.

  • AuKing Vs. WayGoal
Product review of Mini Projector: AuKing 2021 Upgraded 1080P Supported Outdoor Projector, Projector for Outdoor Use vs. WayGoal Movie Projector with 50000 Hours LED Lamp Life and 1080P Supported Projector for Outdoor,150" Display for TV Stick,Video Game,Dual Speakers First, why did I get two projects? Basically, one item took longer to be delivered than the other one. I originally ordered the WayGoal Projector but it took 2 weeks for it to be delivered. So I ended ordering the AuKing which only took a few days. The AuKing was not box into an Amazon box. A shipping label was applied to the outside of the original manufacture box. The AuKing was placed outside my house for all to see that it was a projector. If you have a stealing problem in your area then this might be of concern. Both units have a loud fan. In the case of the WayGoal, the built-in speaker was not able to overcome the noise made by the internal fan. The WayGoal is advertises that it has “excellent sound mode”. This is not the case. I hooked it up to 4 different kinds of external speakers. All speakers used were hooked up by aux cable. The first speaker I tried was an OnntZ Angle gen 1. It made no real difference in the sound output. I then used another speaker set-up with the same poor sound quality. The 3rd hook up was with a Logitech speaker system. This speaker system has its own amplifier. Sucesses! But it does not lend itself to portability of the unit. The main reason why I am looking at a mini projector is to take it with me when I travel. This speaker's set up will hinder my travel plans. The last speaker set-up I tried was the new Gen3 Onntz Angle Bluetooth speaker. This hook-up worked well. It provided adequate sound output and portability. Now for the Auking. The built-in speaker was better than the WayGoal. I actually took it with me on a recent cruise to Mexico. I forgot to bring my aux cable to connect to my OontZ Angel Gen 1, so I had to use the internal speakers. For the cabin size, the unit provided adequate sound. Much better than the WayGoal. Bot units provided good picture quality for their price point. However, I did notice that the WayGoal did offer a larger picture than the AuKing at the same projector distance from the screen. The WayGoal also provides a Keystone adjustment. This is an adjustment to compensate for the tilt in the picture. My overall impression with both units is that the WayGoal did provide just a little bit better picture quality and brightness. But both units require a dark room to view. The power supply is built into the WayGoal, which made the unit heavier than the AuKing. Whereas the AuKing uses a power brick. If heat is a concern, then the WayGoal unit did generate more heat than the AuKing. If you suspend the unit on the ceiling then the AuKing’s power brick would be a concern. If you plan to set the unit on a table then the power brick should not make any difference. The AuKing unit is more portable than the WayGoal unit. Provides better built-in speaker experience. But the WayGoal unit did provide a bigger picture than the AuKing and slightly better quality. ... show more

  • Great projector
This is actually the second one I've bought. First I had for two years. It ended up dying. We didn't know we were suppose to throughly clean it to keep it going. Thankfully the second one I bought came with a cleaning kit and instructions on how to clean it. Clearly there was a lot of complaints. But my daughters has used it everyday for those two years. Machine is great, picture clear, sound could be a little louder, but it's a great starter. ... show more

  • Sounds ok but could be louder
“The picture quality is good and bright but the sound from the projector is too quiet/soft. It’s louder to play the sound through my laptop rather than through the projector. Also, the power cord is too short (like 2-3 feet long).
