This is a very small plane. It fit in my palm from the base of my palm to the middle join in my fingers. I think it was previously used because the there was a bit of dust on the product after taking it out of it's packaging. I don't think the blade is sharp. I wasn't able to get that long oddly satisfyingly shaven strip of wood. Nonetheless, I was able to shave off both plywood and solid wood (pine). ... show more

    • Hobby tool for occasional use
I wanted this tool for balsa work. Balsa is soft and tended to plug the blade. I use in combination with sanding blocks. I found this tool adequate for balsa work, but the blade could probably be better sharpened with a wet stone.
