Tracker Device for Vehicles,Real Time GPS... I visit a lot of theme parks and often have a hard time finding my vehicle right away. So when I saw this inexpensive ios-based tracker device for vehicles show up on Amazon, I decided to give it a try... First, the device is pretty small. Basically about a 1 inch diameter white plastic disc. It comes with a rubber container to put it within to protect it from the elements I guess. The rubber container has magnets built in, and comes with two metal semicircular decals that you can use to attach it to non-metallic areas. As for the function, once I pulled the little battery tab that was in the device initially, it came to life and I was able to connect it to my iOS device fairly easily. I tested how well it could be located, and it seemed to work just like a real air tag. You're able to play a sound through the tracker device just like other similar devices. Overall, for about $13, this thing is fantastic. I'll test it out the next time I'm at the theme parks and see how well it works. I'll update this review if there are any issues with it. But so far it seems like a really good deal for the price... Five stars out of five... ... show more

    • Alternative to Brand Name Tracking Tag

I ordered this Dahetag Tracker Device for Vehicles,Car GPS Tracker Work with Apple Find My(iOS Only),No Monthly Fee Mini Hidden Car Tracker with Magnetic Case-White,2PCS to keep tabs on a vehicle that I keep parked on the street. Most cars sold these days can be tracked with the car manufacturer's app. I can find the location of my 2020 Kona EV and my 2025 Kia Sportage PHEV using apps. I admit, though, that I don't know if this is a feature that could be turned off by a car thief. In any case, both of those cars are kept in my garage and theft is not really a concern. My old car, though (a 2011 Lexus ct200h) sits in the driveway and could easily fall prey to a car thief who doesn't mind stealing a beater. This tracker is, essentially, a clone of an Apple AirTag. The tracker fits into a magnetic holder than will stick to any ferrous surface. I attached mine to the metal frame of my car under the floor of the luggage compartment. It is small enough to fit just about anywhere and quite easy to hide. It uses the same easy-to-find CR2032 battery as the AirTag does but it's far too soon to say whether or not battery life will be equal to what I get with an AirTag. Setting up the tracker was quick and simple. The key to pairing any of these clones is to actually follow the directions. You do not set these up the same way you set up an AirTag. If you try to add this tracker as an AirTag, you'll just be frustrated. You need to set it up (as clearly explained in the directions) as "Other Item." Once paired, the tracker will show up in your FindMy list of items along with every other tracker or AirTag. I've noticed that reviews for similar AirTag clones inevitably show one star reviews claiming that they will not pair. Take those reviews with a grain of salt, because failure to pair is almost always caused by users not following directions and trying to pair the tracker as an AirTag rather than an "Other Item." You'll note that the listing seems to show that the tracker can be attached to the underside of a vehicle. My examination of this tracker suggests that it would be weatherproof. However, there is a fairly substantial chance that a tracker attached to the underside of a vehicle could fall off as it would be subject to a lot of vibration and/or objects hitting it. I have noticed that the tracker hidden inside my Lexus needs to be fairly close to an iPhone in order for me to track location, and this would probably be less of an issue if the tracker were somewhere not surrounded by metal. There might be a better place to mount this tracker than inside the trunk. ... show more
