I only rate five stars when something exceeds my expectations - surprisingly this fridge did! We already have a fridge for my skins care items, now that spring is here my husband is breaking out the sunscreen more often and discovered what witch hazel can do and well as a joke I bought this for him - intending to keep it for me and load it up with damp hand towels. Well it turns out when it arrived he wanted it. Why did it exceed my expectations? Two reasons - first when we turned it on it was quiet, really really quiet. In fact about an hour after I turned it on I thought it had already died out because I didn't hear anything, it was only when I got right up to it that I heard it - that is impressive. The second reason is that this was cold within 30 minutes, not just cool, it was fully cold inside, no delay no extended period of time to get cold. Overall this is a very good skincare fridge. I may have created a monster with my husband, but now we each have our own little fridges - I have mint green and he has the pink which is a medium soft pink that we both love. ... show more

I got this to use in the car for long trips, rather than ice packs and coolers, for keeping some beverages and fruit cool on a hot day. This little fridge should work well for keeping a few drinks and a couple of apples or oranges cool. It does actually fit 6 12 ounce cans of soda, although it's a very exact fit. There is zero leeway in terms of space, and actually packing six in there makes it a little hard to pry a can out. Once one can is out, the rest can come out fine. You could also take out the top shelf and fit 4 16 ounce tall cans, with about 1.5 inches left at the top. This devices works off of the Peltier effect, which converts electricity directly into heat and cold. Depending on the polarity of the electric applied to the thermoelectric plate wires, one side of the plate will be hot and the other cold, which is how this little fridge can do both tasks. It's nearly all solid state, and the only moving part is the fan which dissipates the heat from the thermoelectric cooling plates. The fan is pretty quiet, but you can hear it. The fan runs constantly, so eventually it's going to fail if you leave this plugged in 24x7, but that could take years if they used a quality fan (it's similar to the cooling fan on a desktop/gaming computer). The plus side is that there are no gasses to leak out, no noisy compressor, and you can put this in almost any position without issue, as long as you don't block the fan. Unfortunately, the fan is on the back, so you cannot put it on it's back and have the door on top like a little electric cooler. The door has no latch, it is held closed completely by the magnetic seal. There is also a tiny little plastic bin on the inside of the door. Since this is also designed to hold makeup, I guess that's where you could put your eyeliner and lipstick or other small items. It is about 5/8" deep and 4 3/8" wide. It has a nice handle on top for carrying around, although if you have large hands you'll be using less than four fingers. Mine barely fit, and I wear a men's size medium glove (see photo). Most of the weight of this fridge will be the contents you put in it. It's really light when it is empty. The inside cooled off pretty fast once plugged it. A single 12 ounce can of soda went from room temperature to chilled in about 2 hours. It wasn't refrigerator cold after that amount of time, but noticeably cooler than ambient temperature. I was able to completely cool down 3 cans of soda overnight to refrigerator cold. This fridge does cause condensation inside where the cooling pates are located Using in the car, the 12 volt does require up to 45 watts, or 3.75 amps at 12 volts. You will need to make sure your 12 volt socket can support that. It should if you don't have anything else running on that circuit. The supplied power cord is just a little over 6 feet long, so you will have some options in the car on placement, but not long enough to plug in the front and set in the backseat. I've not tested the heating function because I'm not planning to use that. I'm not sure what you'd use it for to be honest. The inside is too small to put a dish of food in. I guess you could pop your coffee mug in there if you had this sitting on your desk, or maybe you could put your big mac in there on a road trip. In my opinion, the cooling aspect is where this little fridge has real value. When I'm not using it in the car, I'll keep some cans cool and within reach of my desk while I am working. In terms of price, at $50 it's a little high if you're using it for cooling food because it's got limited space inside, and there are similarly sized and shaped options that are cheaper available on Amazon. If you're needing a fridge that can hold food and you're planning to use it only at home, I'd suggest getting a traditional dorm fridge instead. If you need a plug in electric cooler for the car, this will work, but I'd also suggest that you check out some of the options that are larger capacity. ... show more

Color and shape is exactly as pictured. It's really neat how it has two separated power supply inputs, one for standard AC voltage and the other for my car's accessory DC voltage. No fiddling around with adapters and switches, just plug in the respective cord for the power input we need and away we go. Interesting that it has two settings - Cool, obviously, but also Heat. I wonder if there is a miniature heat pump inside of this little charming box? We don't have a use case for heating stored items, but I can imagine how it might be useful for nursing mothers on-the-go for instance. After running on Cool for about 5 minutes on standard AC power, the base of the interior cabinet is cold to the touch. That's fast and effective. We plan to take this little fridge with us on our next long road trip so that we can always have a cool cup of water and maybe even leftovers with us as we travel between pit stops. ... show more

Remember the Twizzlers dispenser in Wayne's World? This is the coolest thing since that. It comes with the car and the home cord so you can keep your 12 oz treasures chilling regardless of your location. I keep mine right next to my couch. I am slowly but surely making progress toward my goal of never leaving the couch again and this one was a HUGE non-step in that direction. Gets super duper cold. APPARENTLY it warms stuff, too, but I don't know if I have enough Giddy left in my Up to support that level of satisfaction so for now, just cold side. But it's awesome!! ... show more

Wife needed a little fridge in her office upstairs so she didn't have to run up and down in between meetings. I thought this would suit her perfectly. It holds about 4 standard coke cans. Pros + It's cute. It's pink, not to big and wont take up valuable desk space + It's also pretty quiet, so if it's on your desk, it wont disturb your zoom calls. + It can keep the items inside cold. Seems to be working just fine for that. The door doesn't leak cold air. + It's portable. It's light weight and has a handle on the top. It comes with an adapter for your cars old lighter. That's pretty cool. I could keep 2 cokes and 2 sandwiches in there like a lunchbox. Con's - It's plastic and seems like very inexpensive plastic. Almost like a kids a toy, and reminds me of the toy kitchen set I got my daughter as a child. A teenage girl would likely love this for their room or dorm. (Gift idea) - I don't think it would do well if it fell off the desk, which makes me wonder about it's portability aspects. But If you leave it alone... it's perfect Neutral +/- I didn't try the keep warm function, but if it will keep something cold, it should be insulated to keep something warm as well.
