First of all, be aware that this unit is very small. But it also does little to no damage to anything it should bump into. It falls to the floor if it hits the ceiling. The age requirement is 14+, but I got it for my 10-year-old grandson. If he can play video games, he should be able to manipulate the drone. I thought I was being proactive when I charged the two drone batteries before wrapping the gift so he wouldn't have to wait to use it. It takes a little less than 2 hours to charge them. Now for the bad part, I never checked the batteries in the remote control, and found out the hard way that they were dead, and we didn't have any new ones in the house. I love the experience of flying this drone. My first experience. It was easy! So I think that the drone is an excellent option to start learning how to fly and control drones! Is also a perfect gift for kids. The photos and videos are really good.

This drone is really great for a beginner even my 8 year old has no problem flying it. It can be controlled in 3 ways either by using your hands, the controller that comes with it, or by using the app with your phone or tablet. I personally like using the app. The drone has pretty decent flying time for how much it cost, it is right in line with higher price point drones. The drone can also take photos and video which are of good quality at this price point. It comes with 2 batteries that you connect a charger which charge within a reasonable amount of time. I would definitely reccomend if your looking for a quality drone for your kids or yourself that are just learning that doesn't break the bank. ... show more

    • The camera is not even close to 1080p
The drone flies well, the remote is pretty good for the price. It's nice to get 2 batteries. BUT THE CAMERA IS TERRIBLE quality. It's not 1080p it's not even 720p. Also, there is no way to record the video or save pictures. No onboard storage at all. THE ONLY WAY TO SAVE THE VIDEOS IS TO STREAM THEM TO THE PHONE THRU THE APP. And the quality is terrible. You can't adjust the camera angle, and the lens is not even close to wide angle. It's impossible to fly with FPV. The camera angle is so narrow, you cannot see enough to fly FPV. The video quality is comparable to VHS. It's that bad. The drone is decent enough, but the camera is useless. I could have got a comparable quality drone with no camera for half the price. ... show more
