I just recently learned about this tool, and what a game changer it turned out to be. I have a good sized yard with many plants needing trimming. Previously I had to choose between manual loppers or a sawzall to remove branches, or cut them down to size. I saw the mini-chainsaw used on a YT video, and found this tool. Pros: It is easy to handle, lightweight, and has sufficient battery power to get the job done. Used properly it provides quick and even cuts, and the top safety cover is sufficient to provide some protection against unintended cuts/injuries. I like that it came in a case, with tools to help make cutting easy. The price is right as well. Opportunities for improvement: The saw chain is fairly easy to adjust, but the screw driver provided is short so you end up battling against the bar trying to tighten the chain up. I used a different screwdriver with a longer shaft, which makes tightening the chain much easier. The safety switch is ambidextrous, but could use redesign to put it somewhere easier to depress with your thumb while using the pointer finger to start cutting. Because it is in an unusual position relative to both thumb and finger, it forces users to grip it in a way that can make it easier to lose firm control while in use. An automatic chain oiler would be be a great addition, but you can manage doing manual oiling with the provided bottle before, occasionally during, and after each use. Overall: If you're looking for a budget tool that will help you trim small-to-medium tree limbs quickly, I recommend this tool. Remember to keep it oiled, use within recommendations without forcing it to cut, and let the tool do the work, and I think you'll find it speeds up trimming tasks significantly.

I had to buy my husband a father's day gift and that has become a daunting task because he has everything! A couple of years ago I had bought him a 16" Stihl chainsaw and he was over the moon about it! However, there are always those situations when working around the yard where a larger chainsaw is just too big for the tasks at hand. So when I saw this I thought it would be perfect because it's smaller and operated with one hand. Admittedly it not being a name brand had me a bit skeptical,especially since there weren't many reviews, but I couldn't find any reason not to give it as chance given how low the sale price was plus the extra 25% off coupon. Let me just say not only was he completely surprised, but he was super excited about it! He finally got a chance to use it today and he said it works so amazingly well that he felt it did even better than his 16" Stihl!! This thing is a beast!! It sliced through an 8" tree quickly and effortlessly! He said he is insanely impressed and absolutely loves it!! Plus it comes with the extra chain and extra battery pack plus a few other things. And the batteries come with a full charge do he can be up and cutting right out of the box! This is an amazing deal!! If you're looking for a gift for a man (or woman) who has everything I wouldn't hesitate at all to get this for him. Who doesn't love power tools that make life easier and this one definitely does that!

This saw is WAY better than I expected. It cuts super fast, better than my 10 inch electric. I use it for limbs bigger than the saw itself. I used it for exposed roots, but made sure I cleaned the saw and chain afterwards. I'm still on the original chain and have not even sharpened it yet. I'm amazed its still sharp. Weird how the battery is charged, but not hard to do. Both batteries still work great. I highly recommend the saw! UPDATE: The chain stretches a lot and it will get to chattering and produce a rough cut if you don't hold the saw just right. No fault of the saw, but the chain could be better. Will be trying to fit an oregon or other chain once these chains wear out.

I just used it 2 hours ago. The saw chain keeps loosening when used it after properly installed and tighten it. I found the cap to the chain compartment has been damaged, see picture. Im seeing this saw has very poor quality product. I’m going to return it to Amazon today.

I bought this for myself because I was sick and tired of waiting around for my husband to take care of things. Plus I have a huge firepit and like to burn things. I am a 50-something short and tubby woman with a devilish need to cause chaos. I adore my little green friend. I chop up old furniture, pallets, fallen branches - if you are careful you can cut through quite large branches but you'll want to spin them around and make multiple cuts. The zoom-zoom noise is very satisfying as well. I'd recommend this for grandmothers and toddlers (LOL - Just a joke!) It came with a sturdy case and some other handy sides. I bought it on sale and feel that it's a great value too. 5 stars.
