The battery life is impressive, and I was able to get through a whole afternoon of work without needing to recharge. The auto oiler is a nice touch, and keeps the chain lubricated so it stays sharp. I also appreciate that it comes with three chains, two batteries, and a charger, so I don’t have to worry about running out of power in the middle of a job. The saw is powerful enough to handle most pruning tasks, but not so powerful that it’s difficult to control. I’ve even used it to cut through some small logs, and it worked great. If you’re looking to prune trees, this chainsaw is a great choice. It’s small enough to maneuver around tight spaces, but powerful enough to cut through branches up to 4 inches in diameter. First of all, it is small and lightweight, and I can easily operate it with one hand. Secondly, it is powerful enough that it is easy to cut wood with it. Then, it came with a compact tool box. This is a cheaply made plastic mini chain saw but for the price is worth it as it has some power and it can do things that I can’t do with my big gas chainsaw . I would say , this is ok for small , occasional cutting around your backyard and that’s exactly what I am using it for . Don’t try to use this for big jobs , cutting to much in one go . Give it time to cool off and keep the chain oiled . I don’t think this is fixable so I’m looking at it more like as a disposable chainsaw. ... show more

We live in Northern Maine, and we always have a mess in the spring to clean up from the heavy snow on the tree limbs and the winds knocking down trees. This little gadget was super fast and worked great. We did big limbs about 10" to smaller limbs and never had a problem with it. You have to remember to oil up your chain here and there but it works great. It is not heavy either which is good as well. The batteries last quite a long time too. Great product. ... show more

This is awesome. I needed something to cut up wood and trim my tree . this chainsaw made every bit of yardwork I threw at it doable . It's hard to believe how well this cuts on battery power. it's easy and fun to use, It’s definitely not the best but for the price it is definitely reasonable. I think I will be returning this item. Works ok, but batteries are weak and do not last longer then 20-30 mins with light cutting. Chain was stopped several times when cutting branches less then 2” thick. For very minimal use, this is an ok tool, but with over 30 oak trees that needs to be pruned, it would take me a year just waiting for the batteries to charge after 20 mins of use. The concept is great though- going to try the one that works with Dewalt batteries so I can use my 8amp batteries ... show more

We predominantly use the hand held chain saw to cut camping firewood in half to fit our solo stove Ranger. This particular saw is simple and does a great job at it. We have used others which eventually failed and also required oiling. This one does not and so far so good with it.
