This saw is amazing. I have used it all week cleaning up tree limbs and some small tree's. The only down side is the battery doesn't last very long. It is great that it comes with a second battery.

I got this handheld chainsaw for a few reasons. My dad doesn't trust me to use his full-sized chainsaw, because he's afraid I will get hurt. So I wanted something small enough to use on my own. It's also just so much more convenient for my dad to carry something wireless into the woods to cut up branches and small trees, compared to a big, heavy, wired chainsaw. Right now, we has a gigantic extension cord to drag into the forest with him. So I'm sure there are a lot of limitations with that. He said he had wanted one of these for years, so we were both on the same page. We cut up a skinny tree that had fallen during a storm. It was perfect for the job, and it even cut thicker parts of the trunk than I expected. The chain did come loose at one point, but my dad taught me how to tighten it again. (That's normal for chainsaws.) I highly recommend learning to use this with someone who has a lot of experience, or watch safety videos on YouTube before you get started. We also bought cut-resistant gloves for extra safety. This kit comes with gloves, but they're just regular gardening gloves. I am also going to buy cut-resistant arm sleeves too, just to feel safe while I use this. Overall, I'm really happy that I bought this. It's going to help a lot with clearing out the woods, making trails, prepping firewood, pruning the garden, etc. ... show more

    • Exactly What I Expected!
Ordered this for a single purpose, trimming dead limbs from a pine tree over my driveway. Worked perfectly, easy to put together, lightweight, and handles fairly thick branches. Am sure other uses will present themselves. Excellent value, and in my opinion much safer than other chainsaws.

    • relatively easy to use, for a senior who is afraid of circular, table and large chain saws
Easy to use, however, the chain does loosen. The instrucions are not very precise, however I did figure out how to tighten the chain. Battery life is good, and having 2 batteries allows one to work longer. The little "handle" broke off the first time I piced it up, it is however not necessary in the operation of the mini-saw.
