The listing calls this an angle grinder, which is technically correct but this isn't going to replace a real angle grinder. It's really a cutoff tool... This is a lot smaller than the Milwaukee M12 cutoff tool. They both use 3" cutting wheels and both have brushless motors. This one lacks the reverse mode of the Milwaukee and doesn't have as much power (thanks to the smaller motor), but it also costs a fraction of the price and includes 2 batteries. I think the included charger might be the worlds slowest. It takes forever to charge the 2.5Ah batteries. There's no mention of a warranty so after the 30 day return period you're out of luck. ... show more

This is a great kit with some decent starting accessories. For the record, this is my first brushless angle grinder. I have three corded grinders of various sizes. The grinder is well protected in its case. The batteries charge with a small wall-wart that has an LED to show the charging status (red or green). The connector to the battery seems a little fragile so best to be careful with it. The grinder itself is a nice size. The shield swivels so you can shift it according to your use case. The central spindle is a fairly small diameter bolt but it is very sturdy. Even with a disc mounted it is very sold so that you can't wobble it. Locking the spinder is accomplished by lifting up a plastic tab. I'd prefer a standard push button, but this works okay. An allen key is provided for loosening the spindle nut. There is only one speed, but the motor is stronger than I anticipated. I tried out the flap disc on steel and it was absolutely fine at cleaning up rust. I would imagine that the other discs are fine as well. I'm not sure how safe the circular saw is, but I think if you had this tool with a carbide burring disc it would be an awesome woodcarving instrument. I'd have to test it further to see if it bogs down sanding wood, etc. ... show more
