I rarely buy cheap tools, but for some reason I bought a cheesy bargain bin grinder that I was using to strip the inside of my kitchen cabinets. I had it locked on when it grabbed the inside corner and got ripped out of my hand. Nine stitches later with a gnarly gouge to the bone between my fingers I decided to find the safest angle grinder available. Lesson learned! The Milwaukee has a paddle switch with a safety button to prevent the switch from being accidentally turned on. It has a brake that stops the tool within a second after the switch is released. There is no mechanism to lock it in the on position. Once your hand releases the switch, intentionally or otherwise, it shuts down. It is extremely well balanced and heavy-ish which is telling of a quality tool. I bought third party batteries, so I can’t say how the Milwaukee batteries are. The one I bought only comes with a six inch guard. Was it worth the money?? For all of the safety features built into it, the answer is yes! It’s a powerful tool with considerably high speed. I have other Milwaukee tools that I’ve had for years and they’re bulletproof. I would buy this again if I needed another one. ... show more

Grinders arrived promptly and were packaged very well. Very nice construction and easy to change-out grinding disc's or wheels. I really like the versatility of the grinder to switch from 4-1/2" to 6" on the fly! Very Powerful and Rugged Grinders! Braking system is excellent. I enjoy using this grinder without having to change batteries every 5 minutes. Top of the line grinder! I use this with a cutting wheel and grinding wheel. Does great in both applications. Battery life is better than expected while using the 9.0ah batteries with the grinder. It does have some weight to it but is powerful to back it up so if you have to use it all day every day might want to look into some of milwaukees lighter options. ... show more

This is the quality first angel grinder i have owned, and the first cordless. My old cheap corded grinder was short and would grind my fingers, and the on off switch was broken, so it is easy for me to say my new Milwaulkee 4 to 6 inch cordless is really awsome. I have only used it a couple of times but so far it has been great. It seemed a little exspencive but i found it $50 cheaper ordering it threw Amazon over retail store. ... show more

This grinder is the best grinder I've ever purchased and I own around 15 of them. I have a different model of Milwaukee fuel 18v grinder that I love but this one has twice the power. It cuts through metal without bogging down at all. I'm going to buy another when I can.
