  • Features E-Switch Protection - When the ON/OFF trigger switch has a no-volt release function. In the event of a power outage or other unexpected shut down, the trigger switch will need to be cycled (turned off and then on) to restart tool.
  • Two stage trigger requires two actions to activate tool.

Description

This brushless small cordless angle grinder requires no time changing brushes, and offers a longer motor life. DEWALT cordless grinder offers a high level of protection. Its break stops the wheel in 2 seconds or less. The Kickback Break engages maximum force to stop the wheel when there is a pinch, stall, or bind- up to reduce kickback. The grinder will also shut off in those events to further protect the user. Battery and charger are sold separately.

Doesn't get better than Dewalt. Dewalt always tops my list of well designed, well built equipment that's affordable for the DIYer as well as the professional. This thing works great. I put off buying one for years and I can honestly say I should have bought one sooner. I did buy a $40 corded (Bosch I think?) one slightly before I bought this and it worked great as well but having a cord sucks and I didn't like the power switch. The Dewalt just feels more comfortable to use in most cases. If you're on the fence I would say this is worth it over one with a cord if you're not going to be going crazy for hours cutting things. I use it with a cutoff disc and just keep a grinder on the corded one I have now. The attachment mechanism does make it easy to swap discs though so if I didn't have a second grinder it wouldn't be a big deal changing back and forth. ... show more

This Grinder is sold as a bare tool and they really mean it. It has a hub wheel to secure the grinding wheel but does not even include the wrench necessary to remove and install the hub. Mine for some reason had a big Allen wrench included, I haven't yet figured out what it is for. I love Dewalt tools but come on the hub wrench is essential to the tool's basic function. ... show more

Either you're a fan of Dewalt or not. I have never had a problem with their products and so far this one has given me no issue as well. I have numerous Dewalt and non-Dewalt knock off batteries and they work well with this tool. Lack of a power cord makes it easier to work with, and has plenty of power. Weight is about the same as a corded angle grinder but it fits better in the hand with the design. As anyone who has used a grinder can tell you, the handle attachment is a love or hate item, depends on the job you're doing.
