I mean it's Dewalt. This pair is unbeatable being sold together. I have used them now about a dozen times in the field making repairs and I have gotten the results and quality I would expect from Dewalt tools. Definitely recommend to anyone looking at this combo

I have beaten this thing to death in a FCAW class and it is still running as strong as the day I bought it. Dewalt is one of those brands where you may spend more, but for a good reason.     • Battery life is very short on these machines. Still, portability is fantastic
First, I love - LOVE - having both an angle and a die grinder that can exploit my existing collection of Dewalt batteries ... esp. the larger 4.0 & 5.0 Ah copies. For many jobs, especially as a home mechanic, that's plenty of power for quick cuts and grinds. HOWEVER - the job that precipitated my search to buy a die grinder in the first place is a wrought iron fence requiring plenty plenty of sanding. With so many nooks and crannies, the only good approach has been die grinder with flap wheels and wire wheels. It's taking about two 4 Ah batteries to grind each 8' segment of fence, and I have about 120' of fence total. Also, this grinder only runs smooth with a flap wheel of under 3" ... anything larger and I think the torque load is too great and the machine just shuts itself down. So, really, for this job I would have probably been better off buying the expensive variable speed corded die grinder instead - more power and unlimited juice. At this point, I'll muscle through it, but be forewarned - these are for low-to-modest usage rather than heavy daily use. ... show more

Replaced the 18v set I had. Gave those to my son. These are an absolute step up in power and torque. I like the Dewalt tool line. The new ones feel like my old original “plug in” chorded drill!! That says something about power.
