I have beaten this thing to death in a FCAW class and it is still running as strong as the day I bought it. Dewalt is one of those brands where you may spend more, but for a good reason. I bought this set before the Christmas rush and it was not received until AFTER Christmas. Oddly it went up in price after my purchase and the seller was offering two-day shipping. I bought these for general home use. The grinders works well for small task and mild cutting. The portability of these tools far outweigh the power deficiencies of corded ones. When it comes to larger task these would work but the lower battery power definitely shows.

These are both excellent tools. Battery life is totally acceptable, and power is amazing. I'll still use a plug in if I have a big job, but wouldn't have to if I'm ok changing batteries. Going without a cord it totally worth a few RPM's you'll miss vs. some corded models, but you will not be missing any power. Lower RPM's also save you on consumables, so there's that... win-win...
