Moving up from a garrett ace, in my first use i found a ton of coins, metal, junk in my backyard which i’d detected multiple times. The pinpointer is a real shining star! Id go with a nicer brand name 9v as the one out of the box is garbage and kept shutting machine off. Lots of good youtube vids on setting up the 600! Looking forward to using this on the beach!!! I need more time using this metal detector to give a better review but the metal detector works well and the software can be updated via PC which is nice. It takes time to learn how to use which is expected. It's well-made lightweight but be prepared to do a lot of trial and error learning what the different tones for different metals are. I've enjoyed using it. I like the weight. I have another brand of detector and accustomed to it, so it will taking some getting accustomed to to get the most out of it, but so far I would buy it again.
