The POWERSTATE Brushless Motor and REDLINK PLUS intelligence delivers best-in- class belt speed at 1350 SFM with less bog down under load for more aggressive material removal and ensures protection from overload, overheating, and over discharge. The M18 REDLITHIUM High Output HO6.0 battery (not included) provides all-day run-time and unprecedented power to tackle the toughest applications found on the jobsite. The variable speed dial offers adjustment from 1350SFM to 750SFM for increased control in a wider variety of materials. The dust collection system paired with our durable dust bag or universal hose adapter reduces clean up time through a cleaner work environment. The tool- free, adjustable pommel allows for flush sanding against the front of the sander and offers a more compact size for storage. This battery-powered belt sander also features automatic belt tracking, a tool-free belt tracking knob, dual-LED lights, a tool-free belt change lever, and a lock on button.

Well built, operates like any standard belt sander. Recommend using High output batt. The run time is decent, batteries can overheat. Recommend, especially if your already using other Milwaukee battery operated tools.

I’ve never owned a belt sander, but this compares (power-wise) to a few corded models I have used in the past. Once you dial in the belt travel, it works effortlessly. One star deduction for power consumption though…It runs through an 8 amp battery in about 2 minutes when you are trying to remove a lot of material. ... show more

I am already all-in on the M18 line. This made short works of sanding the deck I had built the season prior to prep for stain to seal. Dust collection is a breeze with bot hehe included dusk sock and the hose attachment for a shop-vac. Its adjustable handles make it very comfortable to use even overhead. It seems to be of good build quality though I have only have it for a a couple of months. ... show more

It’s a great tool, honestly. The problem I ran into was that it takes so much power to run it that you can only sand one board before you must charge the batteries again. The batteries are sold separately, and I bought the largest ones I could buy, but it has too much of a power consumption that I ended up returning and buying a corded belt sander. If you have small projects I would definitely recommend, but if you plan on using it to sand anything more than 9 square ft I would recommend getting something with a cord instead. ... show more
