Description

Designed for the professional carpenter, remodeler, and general contractor; the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 3" x 18" Belt Sander is optimized for power, portability, and productivity on the jobsite. The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 3" x 18" Belt Sander generates the power and torque of an 8A corded belt sander, delivers faster material removal, and collects over 85% of dusts generated. The POWERSTATE Brushless Motor and REDLINK PLUS intelligence delivers best-in- class belt speed at 1350 SFM with less bog down under load for more aggressive material removal and ensures protection from overload, overheating, and over discharge. The M18 REDLITHIUM High Output HO6.0 battery (not included) provides all-day run-time and unprecedented power to tackle the toughest applications found on the jobsite. The variable speed dial offers adjustment from 1350SFM to 750SFM for increased control in a wider variety of materials. The dust collection system paired with our durable dust bag or universal hose adapter reduces clean up time through a cleaner work environment. The tool- free, adjustable pommel allows for flush sanding against the front of the sander and offers a more compact size for storage. This battery-powered belt sander also features automatic belt tracking, a tool-free belt tracking knob, dual-LED lights, a tool-free belt change lever, and a lock on button.

  • Corded Power Without the Cord – Milwaukee M18 FUEL Belt Sander Delivers
Outstanding Performance – A Game Changer for Portable Sanding The Milwaukee Electric Tool M18 Fuel 3" x 18" Belt Sander absolutely delivers on power, control, and convenience. For a cordless belt sander, the performance is seriously impressive. It has the kind of aggressive material removal you’d expect from a corded unit, but without being tied down to an outlet. The M18 FUEL motor provides consistent speed under load, which makes a noticeable difference when flattening boards or removing old finishes. It doesn’t bog down, even when working hardwoods. The variable speed control is also a big plus — you can dial it back for finer work or crank it up when you need to remove material quickly. One of the standout features is the tracking adjustment. The belt stays aligned with minimal tweaking, and adjustments are quick and precise. The dust collection system works better than expected for a belt sander — especially when paired with a vacuum — helping keep the workspace cleaner. Ergonomically, it feels balanced and solid in hand. It’s not overly heavy for a cordless unit, and the grip design makes extended use comfortable. The battery life (especially with higher-capacity M18 packs) is more than enough for most tasks, making it practical for job sites where power access is limited. Overall, this sander combines power, portability, and durability in a way that really stands out. Whether you’re a professional contractor or a serious DIYer, it’s a worthwhile investment that performs like a corded tool without the cord. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Worthy belt sander!
Works like a charm! Much Easier and faster than manually sanding!

  • Got the job done.
This sander got the job done. It does use a lot of power so you will want to use a 12 AH battery. Plenty of power. Dust bag worked great leaving little mess to clean up. Dust bag has a zipper for easy clean out. For bigger jobs you will want an AC sander.

  • Mostly well designed and Milwaukee quality
This is fun to use. That says a lot for a tool. It's well designed, ergonomic enough, compact and quiet for what it is. The dust collection is worthless though which is sadly the norm. Why use a cordless tool if you have to be attached to a dust collection/vacuum system? Talk about totally defeating the whole design goal of the tool. The led lighting is a good start to actual tool illumination also. They can improve on this also but it's way better than nothing! ... show more

  • Used it and loved it
Well built, operates like any standard belt sander. Recommend using High output batt. The run time is decent, batteries can overheat. Recommend, especially if your already using other Milwaukee battery operated tools.

  • CLEARLY USED
Given the sweet price for this sander, I was a little worried it would be a fake Milwaukee or come used. Sure enough the package was a little beaten up and "sealed" with scotch tape. and the tool was wrapped in a plastic bag and taped to stay shut. There were a few scratches and marks and the tool already had a roll of 80 grit loaded up. Other than that, the tool seems to operate well. I plugged in a battery and it functioned well but I noticed two bars of battery dissappear within a couple min of turning it on for the first time to test it. I always have a hard time with these because the price is great but this tool was listed as new and when I buy a new Milwaukee tool I want that baby brand shiney new out of the box and not messed around with and returned for god knows why and now I'm the 2nd hand owner. If its listed as new, it should be new. I have left a seller review but have not heard back. ... show more

  • Well worth what I paid.
This was a great buy. The price was amazing and the tool itself is great for those times when you need a belt sander for a quick knock down. Saves the time of running a cord for a few minute job where you’ll spend more time running a cord and getting it back up than using the actual tool. For longer jobs, it’s probably best to run your cord. But this has already proven its worth to me. ... show more

  • good
Good quality product, but uses a lot of battery power for large jobs. Belts don't last real long, but I was not using Milwaukee belts, either.
