Its loud, its fast and has plenty of torque. It's the real deal... I dunno how they do it but they do. And that means I get to own one of these at a way more digestable price. I bought a 4 pack of tungsten or cobalt burr bits and went to go at it on round of lodgepole, and the first bit went fast and okay... But when it started getting deeper... It would grab like a muff rucka. And when it grabs like that, its hard to hangon and stay in the cut. This thing has a 20k rpm rating I think... And I don't think those bits were made for hogging out wood. So I just looked up random 1/4 shank grinder bits and found rasp bits for wood. Those are perfect for what I've wanted to do.... They don't grab and they grind through at a slower rate even though they're going at 20k rpm. Easy to control and is useful for detailing. Now I gotta figure out what them cobalt burr bits are for so I can see what they're all about...

As a pipelayer this tool is invaluable. Specifically used when cutting down roof drains or cutting existing pvc pipe that were stubbed too far into manholes. When you don't want to shovel 2' around a pipe to fit a Sawzall just hold this sucker down inside your pipe and cut it out clean and easy. I've never had an issue like some but we don't have weak wrists and forearms here. Never used it to cut D.I.P. or cast. Only PVC schd 40, sdr 35 and 26. Time saver. Highly suggest metal blades don't get the abrasive cutting wheels. Get diamond and metal ones they last sooooo much longer. You'll need to buy a Mandrel For Cut-Off Wheels W/3/8" Arbor Hole, 1/4" Stem to use this tool it does not come with one. And of course blades with a 3/8" hole usually 3" diameter for use. It's a must. Cheap tool saves you money on it's first few uses. Stay safe ditch diggers.

I recently purchased the M18 die grinder for just $130, a steal considering its retail price of $270 on Milwaukee's website. As someone who works on heavy equipment, I understand the importance of having a reliable die grinder on hand. This tool has truly been a lifesaver on multiple occasions since I added it to my arsenal a few weeks ago. The performance of the M18 is top-notch, and the fact that it comes at such a discounted price makes it even more impressive. Even if you don't foresee needing a die grinder often, I highly recommend grabbing this one. It's a fantastic investment that I can't praise enough.

Started using this grinder to help with some metal shelf repairs in the garage. Switch jams up every now and then—not what I’d expect from Milwaukee. It’s annoying having work gloves on, pressing the thing, and suddenly it catches and won’t slide. Makes the whole job more fiddly. My teen tried it too and thought maybe he was doing it wrong, but nope, same issue. For what it cost, it should be better built. I like the power and how it handles heavier jobs, but the switch really takes away from the experience. 😕

Got the M18 die grinder for around $130. This thing sells on Milwaukee's website for like $270! A die grinder is one of those tools that most people don't need often, but when you do need one... there is no substitute. I work on heavy equipment and I've used this bad boy several times since I got it a couple of weeks ago. It's a great die grinder. It's saved my butt a couple of times. It's a good tool at full price. At $130?!? Get it even if you don't need it. I recommend.

For tiny, quick tasks it does okay. I used it to put together a lightweight storage shelf for my laundry room and it didn’t complain too much. But once I tried anything thicker than soft wood, it started to struggle and heat up again. I expected more from Milwaukee, especially at this price. Feels like it’s only comfortable with hobby-level jobs, not real home projects or anything that takes time. I’m keeping it as a backup for little fixes, but I still have to borrow my neighbor’s tool when something actually needs power. Kind of disappointing when you thought you were upgrading. �

I've used a pneumatic 90 degree die grinder for 10+ years. It's fine, if often a bit grabby. This tool is far better where space permits. Its size and long design provide excellent leverage, so it's almost never grabby while grinding. And it's faster at material removal with more precision control due to ergonomics & weight/stability. Finally, I'm pleasantly surprised how long I can grind on a single battery charge. I put off buying Milwaukee cordless tools due to price, and settled for lesser brands. This is my second tool on their 18v platform and I'm very happy. The price is justified based on performance. FWIW it really is as good as the hype.
