BUY NOW!! I have been obsessed with Jasmine, her designs, and unique ideas for homes since finding her shows a couple months ago (I know tragic it took so long). I've purchased multiple books for design and organization and ALWAYS there's the comments of "its just a pretty book". I promise you, this isn't JUST a pretty book. It's beautiful & can have a spot on your coffee table for the browse BUT it also has substance to take you through your home in a homework style approach. It truly is what so many people were wanting from all those other design books without just copy pasting. If you want to do the work, I'm sure you'll end up with a home made just for you. I'll update my review as I work through the book ! **Final Update!!** I HIGHLY recommend grabbing a notebook to put your thoughts into as you work through this book. It helps narrow down what you ACTUALLY want for your home (unfortunately for me I found this long after buying rustic things & it's just not my style like I originally thought- I enjoy vintage inspired). Take your time through it, check out the beautiful pictures for unique ideas (& jasmine if you're reading this I need a huge list of all your unique custom ideas from your show), and get creative! I cannot wait to start putting the work into my home AGAIN to finally create a home that I'm proud of & is unapologetically ME. ... show more

    • Best book ever especially for new home owners!!
I love her show so I was so excited to get her book. What I love most about her is that she is not bound by trends or design rules, rather she works with families to create their ‘house story’ and designs and renovated based upon their needs all while making it beautiful. She is simple, honest and straightforward. She tells you what can be DIY’d and what absolutely should never be! Gives tips and advice on places to shop for various products. I have a few designer/ renovation books now all from women I admire, but she is by far my most favorite. Understanding how to write your house story is not only imperative for design & renovation but it’s a game changer for house hunting!! Knowing your story will make house hunting far less stressful!!! ABSOLUTE MUST BUY!! And watch her show, Help I wrecked my home!!! She has learned literally from the dirt up, she didn’t go to school to do this, rather she spent years working and learning this business from the ground up. This should be a staple in everyones home decorating library. I absolutely love this book! Jasmine share's so many helpful interior design tips to help every home owner and DIYer out there navigate their future remodels. It's particularly helpful how she breaks down her renovations with what selections and materials she used, as well as giving helpful insight on things to consider when approaching a new project in your home. Not only that, just the photo's alone throughout the book are great inspo! LOVE this book! House Story gives you all the insider and easy to follow tips for ALL things interior design and home decorating. If your space is a house, condo, apt - it doesn't matter! We all want our space to tell our story and to feel like home. This book is my absolute home decorating holy grail. It adds purpose to what I do, and eliminates the “Will it go with _____?” Nevertheless, it’s very easy to read and follow, and actually details everything and why it goes with the room. When I go to my local home improvement store, I actually sound like I know what I’m doing. I can ask for the exact finish, style and/or quality I have in mind. My favorite part is knowing that my future choices in my home makeover are already backed up by Jasmine. She really outdid herself with this book. ... show more

    • Home design at its best.
A great step by step book for lovers of home decorating and interior design. If you own a home and want to make it pretty, this book is for you! The thoughtful tips and the beautiful pictures gave me plenty of home decorating ideas. The book is also a fun read. Would recommend!
