really easy to operate
I've used a lot of angle grinders, and i'm shocked at how easy this one is to control. generally when you turn them on there's so much torque that it feels like it's ready to explode into a painful injury. The Milwaukee spins up quick and smooth and does so really quietly. the noise level is loud but bearable, again much quieter than the cheaper discount tool store grinders. lastly the break feature is actually my favorite part, about a second after you let off it slows the disc down pretty quickly. Milwaukee nails it again... great tool!

Impressive Milwaukee M18 Fuel Grinder
This Milwaukee M18 Fuel grinder is a game-changer. I love its power and efficiency, making every task a breeze. The ergonomic design is perfect for long hours of work, and I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable tool. The only downside is that it is a bit on the heavier side, but the performance more than makes up for it.

Great for small jobs but uses a lot of batteries.
I have a ton of m18 and m18 fuel tools and a bunch of batteries so i bought this as a bare tool. The good: Better than expected power. it has enough power to remove metal pretty quickly although not quite as fast as my 4 inch dewalts with a cord but, thats to be expected. The brake feature works well and stops the wheel in a couple seconds or less. The tool is comfortable in the hand and vibrates very little. It also has a look and feel of being well made which i have come to expect from Milwaukee tools. The bad: it eats batteries even faster than expected. It will drain a 5 amp hour battery in maybe 10 minutes of near continuous use. I dont consider this to be milwaukee's fault, rather just the nature of this type of too but i do think it is important to know before you buy. Also the brake makes a weird noise that sounds like a problem with the gears. I have decided that there is no problem and its just the way it sounds so, not really a bad thing if im correct. Overall, its a good tool and could come in handy for small jobs away form power of if you just dont feel like dragging out a cord. However, dont buy it thinking your going to do a lot of grinding at a time unless you have a lot of batteries.

Great for quick jobs
I purchased this with some doubts as my experience with cordless grinders in the past was frustrating at best well things have much improved from thè past as long as one does not expect it to replace a corded grinder in the fab shop what it is great for is when you have to cut that pipe or bolt and then move on just grab it and go but if I am fabricating a bumper I am gonna get the teal beast and the cord out only complaint is why can't I get it with a trigger instead of the stupid paddle

Solid tool but this is NOT the braking grinder! I read another review for this model and it said that this unit stops the wheel in under 2 seconds. So I thought, with that in mind and it being fuel, it more than justified the extra $40 even though I grind stuff maybe a dozen times a year. Not so. On a positive note, a review for the REGULAR (non-Fuel) M18 grinder said that the user could grind 3 blades on a lawnmover on a single 5.0 battery pack. I have no idea what that person has to grind, etc., but for my case, I had 1 out of 4 lights on a 5.0 battery left and I wanted to see what it could do. I was very pleasantly surprised that when I needed to do my touchup with the blades still installed on the mower deck, I touched up all three and still had battery. This beast is solid.
