I am coming from a G710+, which I also have at work... I hate going between different keyboards, so I try to match. So I will compare mainly with that model in this review. My personal home G710+ started having keys stop working, which so far I have been able to fix with drops of alcohol, but it is very annoying having to do that. I thought mechanical keyboards were supposed to last, and last, and last. Never spilled anything on it, or mistreated it in any way. Also the spacebar is not depressing cleanly anymore, it kind of binds, and goes crooked unless you press it almost perfectly in the middle. Super annoying! And I couldn't fix it with alcohol, and I didn't want to use any kind of lubricant, although I guess I should have tried. The spacebar binding is the main reason I decided to replace the G710+, which I loved otherwise. I guess I cannot complain too much, my home G710+ was 6 years old, but I expected it to be the last keyboard I ever bought, to be honest. I really liked it. So far not a single problem at all with my work G710+, which is even older. Go figure. The entirely new Romer-G switches that the G910 uses makes it a different ballgame, hopefully with the redundant contacts, keys won't stop working, ever. And the keys do feel super smooth and responsive, so hopefully the spacebar never starts binding either. I see no reason to ever buy another keyboard as long as this one keeps working. I love it that much. I LOVE how they put the numbers and the symbols in the proper place, and that everything on every key is lit up. The G710+ had the symbols below the numbers, and the symbols were not lit up eg. none of the shift characters were lit up on any key on the G710+. Who thought those things were a good idea?! Terrible design decisions. I really like how Logitech keyboards are laid out, and I wanted a keyboard that feels similar enough to the G710+ that it wouldn't be annoying going back and forth, because I still use a G710+ at work. I am glad that the G910 exists, as I none of the other Logitech keyboards looked similar enough to the G710+ for me. This keyboard is similar enough that the muscle memory is not disturbed much going back and forth, so that is good, and the main reason I chose the G910, I wanted it to be as similar as possible. Yet it honestly feels even better than the G710+, but not so different that switching back and forth is annoying. The keys feel great when typing, and I can type incredibly fast with the G910. I think the switches in the G910 are definitely better than the G710+ in terms of typing feel. I am extremely happy with how the keyboard feels. And I am extremely happy with the keyboard in general. The G910 is a bit louder, with more of a hollow sounding thump, rather than the more clicky sound of the G710+. I think the sound will be subjective to most people. They are both on the loud side for a keyboard, as expected for a mechanical switch keyboard. But I think I prefer the sound of the G910. I love the RGB color control, and there are so many varied settings that I think it will make just about anyone happy! Plenty of custom options. I have been switching between them, and they are all fun. I currently have it set to the Echo Press preset, where it is a somewhat dim green, but when I press a key, it lights up to full brightness and then slowly fades back down. Makes for a cool effect. I wish I could save that particular setup as a custom setting, but for some reason you cannot save your changes to a preset. So if I change to a different setting and want to go back to the Echo Press, I have to set up my colors and timing all over again. Maybe I could replicate the Echo Press preset functionality in the Animations section, where I could save it as a permanent custom setting, but I have not tried yet. Please Logitech, let me save any changes I make as a custom setting! Even if it is based on a preset! As for the ARX dock. I see LOTS of comments saying it just a gimmick etc. But I actually love it! It is super nice putting my smartphone there. I use it all the time. I find that I have lots of use cases for having my phone for viewing something while I work, etc. Even though I have three screens already, it is still useful. I don't care that it is not an actual dock, just a place to put your phone. I absolutely love this feature! However, I do wish it held the phone a bit higher as with the iPhone swiping up from the bottom, which you have to do a lot, is kind of a pain. I have somewhat solved this by padding the dock to raise the phone up a bit, but I can only raise it up so much before it won't hold the phone securely anymore, and it is still not quite high enough to make swiping up completely easy. But at least I can swipe up at all, now. Overall conclusion. I love this keyboard! Hopefully it lasts, both for the key performance, and for the lighting. The best keyboard I've ever owned, and it's not even slightly close

I've been through so many keyboards over the years, I couldn't even begin to guess. I can't speak to how well this thing performs for a heavy duty gamer, but I'm a writer who's put out 3 books and more than a hundred short stories, nearly every one of them done on this one keyboard, along with daily messaging and other uses. This [expletive deleted] keyboard is the best writing investment I've ever made; it's relatively ergonomic such that I can sit here and pound out thousands of words in a sitting without cramps or wrist issues, the keys feel really good and sound appropriately click-y without being obnoxiously loud, you can configure the colors to your liking (I did blue background with random yellow twinkling so it looks kind of like a Star Trek-like computer panel). Most importantly, these switches are rated to like 70m keystrokes, and while I may not have done exactly that many (it's hard to know), it lasted 7 years of heavy duty use, and only then started to have minor errors like double pressing keys when I didn't mean to. The switches do sound different now, but again, I have punished this thing waaay more than a normal user would have. The longevity and reliability in these switches has impressed the hell out of me. I just bought another one, and I will continue to do so for as long as these things are being manufactured. I'm probably even going to buy one or two more just to keep for when this new one wears out in 7 or so years. On a very minor note, I'm not a fan of the Logitech G-Hub software that you use with it. I like the ability to configure colors and macros and stuff, but it just doesn't run well on my system. Long story short, best keyboard I've ever used, by a long shot. ... show more

I've had this keyboard since April 6th. I am super impressed. I fell in love with how the key presses felt. I have only used basic, entry-level Logitech boards throughout my life. The ones that you see in your school computer labs. I'm still enamored with how this one feels. I also like the possibility of customization with the key's backlights using the brand's program. You can even change the logo's lighting. Constant moving lights distracted me so I chose my own custom and standard settings. I actually had the basic Logitech brand board before this one for almost five years. I only got this one because I wanted something better. I don't regret it because this looks and feels great. This keyboard plugs in by USB-A so make sure you have room for it on your PC. My only problems are it's much bigger than I expected. I now have problems putting food on my desk as I used to. Still a tiny bit of room, but not a safe and secure fit. My custom colors won't automatically be on when I turn my PC on and I have to restart the program. Not a big deal, but ridiculous I have to do so. Sometimes it randomly happens during the day. Also when I open certain, well known games it goes to default colors (like Fortnite, as an example), but I don't play a bunch of games that change the colors so I haven't looked into seeing if there's a solution to this problem. Also, the media pause and play button doesn't always focus on what's playing. I always have Spotify and YouTube open and sometimes when I have YouTube playing and want to pause it the video will keep playing and it will unpause my Spotify music, so be aware of that occasionally being a thing. The brightness button only turns the backlights off, it doesn't change the brightness. The other media buttons I don't know too much about since I don't use them. The G keys I used them for instant Discord emotes, but other than that I don't have much use for them myself. The volume scroll comes in handy sometimes, but I'm still not used to it so I end up reaching for my speakers instead more than the keyboard scroll. A NEGATIVE ON A FEATURE: The ARX Dock Release is not at all useful, or at least for me. All it does is press your phone between the blue plastic and the keyboard itself. My phone is very heavy due to the case its in so it can't stay in place and falls over. It isn't even sturdy in the first place. So definitely not recommended using this "feature" of the keyboard. It may be different for your phone. A POSITIVE ON A FEATURE: There are two tiny kickstands on the bottom of the board in the two back corners. They slightly lift the board up from the back end and I'm quite surprised at how much it helps ease my hands having a raised board. It doesn't get rid of all the pain, but it helps. ... show more

Nice, but now it's doing something strange.

PROS: Individually programmable RGB keys. Enough macro keys for all but the most serious gamer. I had a hard time finding an RGB Keyboard with macro keys, so this one won. CONS: I'm not a fan of the hand rest on the bottom of the keyboard. Its not removable except the flimsy cover they put on it which FEELS nice but is a pain if you need to pick up the keyboard to move it because it feels like it wants to come off and sometimes does. Also, they way it's designed makes it difficult to pick up on the sides so the front is the most logical place to grab it from. MEH: This is my first mechanical keyboard and the mechanical keys just don't do it for me. They don't make me happy but they don't make me sad either. Maybe it makes me a scrub but I don't see what the big deal is, or maybe it's not a good keyboard, I don't know. I don't have access to any other mechanical keyboards to compare it to. The keys are clicky if you're into that. I've had this keyboard for several weeks now and it has been working fine until just recently. I spilled a few drops of water on it (honestly that's all it was), and cleaned it up immediately. I had to pop off a few keys to do it though. I put them all back on, no big deal. After that the keyboard is sending keypresses to the computer all by itself. I did some trouble shooting and made sure it was the keyboard itself and not malware or a macro. The keys is presses are "J", "U", and "Up arrow key" I checked the "Logitech Gaming Software" and there are no macros with those keys. I even switched macro sets from M1 to M2 and that didn't stop it, so there's no chance I pressed MR by mistake and recorded a random macro. Furthermore, I plugged the keyboard into a completely different computer that it's never been plugged into before and it was still doing it. I should also point out that the J and U keys were some of the ones that I removed, but the up arrow key was not. After plugging in another keyboard so I could write this I plugged the G910 back in just to make sure. When I did so it types "up arrow key 7ujn". It also will type that if I press the light button on the keyboard. No other key does anything abnormal, not even the macro keys (I checked them all). Also, oddly enough it has now stopped pressing random keys and will only do so if I plug it in or press the light button. CONCLUSION: Ultimately if that's all it's doing (IE no random key presses) I can live with it because don't plug it in repeatedly and I rarely use the light button. None of my gripes are enough to make me not like it, but I probably wouldn't buy it a second time if I needed a new one. ... show more

Beautiful, quality build, Clackey keys

First impressions of my Logitech G910 Spectrum gaming keyboard. Arrived today in usual Amazon-quick shipping. Beautiful, bought, love that the letters on the keys light up but no lighting underneath. Programmable keys could not be easier with the G Hub app, simply choose the function you want and drag it to the programmable key you want. I constantly cut and paste so wanted a one key stroke way, bada-bing, done. I had hoped these much hyped Romer-G keys would be quiet keys. The stock iBuyPower keyboard I stole from my son has an almost felt like feel and sound to them (see the video). I had hoped the Romer-G would be similar, but alas, as some reviewers have noted they ate the same mechanical clickety-clack keys and have the same feel as any stock mechanical keyboard. Not loud, just not quiet, standard plasticy feel and sound. Not seemingly much improvement over Cherry. They do have a nice shallow stroke, and just resting my fingers on the keyboard can result in a string of ddddddd... The online manuals suggested the cable would be a plug at both ends. But its hardwired onto the keyboard, no big deal. Lots of color and pattens available through G Hub. All said, sweet keyboard, nice programmability, definitely a good buy of a quality keyboard. UPDATE: Almost a week ion of heavy use. The keys may be clacky, more of a dull clack, but they are really comfortable with mid to short throws. The colors are brilliant and bright, like none I have seen before. Tried capturing it in a photo, but it doesn't do them justice. Did I mention this thing is solid, its heavy, like hit-someone-with-it-they-done heavy. I have programmed the keys using G Hub, and that was a breeze. Highly recommend this keyboard. ... show more

AWSOME! SUPER!

I bought this keyboard for me because of the separate F-Keys and the G-Keys my last Keyboard was the Logitech 105. It still works but when I tried to type I kept hitting those pesky Keys that kept popping up the save menu on my document with this keyboard and the new software. I can disable the F-Keys and keep working I love the freedom and the ability to change the colors I love it cuz if i'm bored. I turn on some heavy bass I sit watching the lights when I get stuck on something I'm typing I'm a writer a bit of a perfectionist in my writing. This keyboard affords me that only demand Perfection in my stories all grammar and other errors in this review are ignored. I don't really like the volume control wheel I'd have preferred buttons to a wheel setup like my husbands series Logitech 213 Prodigy Keyboard I thought about getting one but it would have been way too big for my keyboard holder that rolls in and out extending the space on my desk I can't complain though the 910 is perfect for me in the writing the keys are crisp clean and work the features are subtle yet easily found the software is the business I recommend this to anyone who wants a keyboard that it not to heavy or clunky it it L-21" x W-8 1/2 with a slightly short cord its like 5-6 foot but would reach under your desk in a snap I recommend this with the arx control i love it I can monitor my computer's temperature and other things while I am away from the keys. ... show more

Great on-the-fly macro/quiet/programmable keys. Drawbacks are no usb3.0 female/non-ergonomic.

I got this keyboard for 3 reasons. 1. Reptitive multiple copy and pasting with the macro recording for programming variable names. (on-the-fly macro recording) 2. Gkeys for essential functions which are far away when playing rts and mobas. 3. Wanted a quieter keyboard so that people don't hear typing me while on zoom/discord. Before used a black widow 2014 ultimate. (https://www.amazon.com/Razer-BlackWidow-Ultimate-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B00IG3GPTS/) I loved that keyboard and recently I had broken it. This Keyboard's presses are not as crisp as that keyboard but it's about half as loud. It never exceeds my mic threshold and is barely audible. Despite not having as crisp of keypresses, it's been barely a noticeable difference for an amateur gamer. Software is extremely easy to use and allows for on the fly profile swapping which is great. The on the fly macro recording is much much easier to use than razor's function+f9. Also, it's much easier to clear the on the fly macros and reprogramming the g-keys to use the macros. The scroll wheel for audio is a hidden gem that is great. Although, it's not ergonmic like my K350 comfort wave which is purchased to replace my microsoft ergo (https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-K350-2-4Ghz-Wireless-Keyboard/dp/B002MMY4WY) , I've ended up using the non-ergonomic one much more for programming when using the macros. If you play games with on the fly macros, such as league of legends, or do repetitive typing of words such as medical/technical documentation I would recommend this one. If you are a professional gamer and don't use on the fly macros or want usb3.0 ports for programming a raspberry pi or arduino on the keyboard probably would would get a das keyboard with Cherry mx blue's. It's kind of ridiculous that I've bought this keyboard four times total. Not because it's not durable but simply because I use it so much. One I gave to my roommate's little brother who got his first PC. I'd owned that one for 5 years and simply wanted fresh looking keys. The second I ended up giving to that same roommate after we parted ways and I gifted him my entire PC setup. The third I bought when I ordered my R11. Through my own stupidity, I managed to crush my spacebar on accident, so I bought this same keyboard again. Figured I owed it a review at this point. Listen, what I neglected to tell you was that I actually ended up trying two different types of keyboards in between some. While there are definitely some unique and DEFINITELY more simple/smaller designs out there, this one has everything I need. I feel like some sort of leader at a command ship or something. Not having some of these utility keys or macros literally just feels like the wrong way to PC game for me at this point. These puppies are durable, functional and can be very pretty. (Mine has a very simple design right now.) This keyboard has garnered the attention of people who don't even like PC gaming, simply because of how pretty it can be.
