This is a classy set of blinds for the awkward space next to our front door. They are well made of individual pieces about 3/32 of an inch thick. The material is a plastic which does not warp in the sun and does not discolor. The directions for mounting the blinds are well written and required only a Phillips screwdriver and a handheld drill with the appropriate drill bit. From start to finish, the process took about 20 minutes. The length of the blind can be adjusted up and down simply by pulling (or lifting) the bottom piece with one hand. The wand does a good job of opening or closing the slats. I found that keeping them open a little added a some light to the hallway and allowed me to see if a package had been left at my door. I liked them enough to order a second set for the window on the other side of the door. A frequent visitor to our home commented on how good they look.

We have a skinny little window to the side of our front door, and a while ago one of our pups got a little too excited when we came home and accidentally tore the blinds right off the wall and just… the whole thing was destroyed. They were beyond repair (and not exactly new blinds anyway) so I just threw them away. I tried out one of those blurry plastic films you can stick on your window and while it did prevent anyone from seeing what’s happening in our house, it also prevented us from seeing out of the only front facing window in our home. I knew we needed to get new blinds soon and couldn’t believe my luck when I saw this listing as an item I could order via the vine program — I double checked my window’s dimensions and ordered this in the 12” by 72” option. It arrived a few days ago and my husband installed it today. First he took off that blurry plastic film cover we write using — good riddance to that! Then he got his power drill and started assembling and installing these blinds. It took him about 30-40 minutes from start to finish, but he said it was very easy to do just a little time consuming. Our window measures 11” long by 72” tall so we opted to hang this over the window instead of “inside” it. And you guys- it looks FANTASTIC! These are exactly the size they were said to be, we measured to confirm. They fit our 11” by 72” window absolutely perfectly. When the blinds are closed, they keep the sunlight out really well, which is no easy feat since we live in sunny Arizona and this window tons of direct sunlight so I am impressed! At night; closing the blinds is so simple, just turn the rod a few times — easy peasy. If you are looking for new blinds for a 72” tall window, I highly recommend these! Be sure to measure your window’s depth the way the seller says to do — if you want to hang this inside the recessed portion of the window then make sure you’re measuring the length of that inner part of the window, otherwise measure from side to side along the outer wall area. I highly recommend this product! :)

I finally got around to tackling the front door sidelight project, and these blinds ended up being exactly what I needed—sometimes you actually get lucky with sizing, and this was one of those rare moments. First off, the fit was spot on. No trimming, no adjusting, no “well, let’s make this work somehow.” They went in like they were made for the space, which honestly feels like a 1-in-10,000 kind of win for blinds. Installation is very doable, even for first-timers. If you’ve got basic tools and a little patience, you’ll be fine. I’ve done a few of these over the years, so it went smoothly for me, but nothing about it felt overly complicated. Everything you need is in the box—no last-minute trips to find missing parts. They look clean and do exactly what you want: control light, add privacy, and tidy up that awkward narrow window space next to the door. The cordless design is a nice bonus too—keeps things simple and uncluttered. Build quality feels solid. These don’t come across as flimsy, which is important in this house… because the real test isn’t sunlight or daily use—it’s the cats. One of our “residents” has already destroyed a previous set of blinds with some late-night acrobatics, so the bar is set pretty high. So far, these seem to have a chance. Price is a little on the higher side, but if they hold up—especially against the 2AM zoomies and the occasional “CRASH” that follows—it’ll be worth it. Final verdict: Great fit, easy install, solid feel, and a clean look. Now the only question left… will they survive the cats? Stay tuned.

After double checking the measurements, I picked this up to cover the two windows next to the front door. Keep in mind, while the photos show two it is only one, which isn't as good of a good value as I initially thought, however the price isn't terrible considering the quality. The packaging is compact with the hardware secured in another box to prevent them from getting loose and damaging the blinds. They are heavier than I expected, but should be durable, even around kids. The thickness also helps to block light more than others I've had in the past. The cordless design works great and the pole for opening and closing them works well. The install does require some tools, but it's pretty straightforward with very clear and helpful instructions. The sizing was pretty accurate and fit perfectly in the space I got this for. I still need to pickup a second one for the other window so I can finish the project and enjoy a bit more privacy around the front door area.
