This works just fine for my needs. The section of my sofa that is most frequently sat upon was developing a weak, sunken area. I wanted to stop that and to bring that area up to the same level of firmness as the rest of the sofa. I doubled this (I didn't need the full length) and put it under that cushion and it works just fine. That area feels no softer nor sinks any deeper than the rest of the sofa. I think the success of this product probably depends on the type of couch your have as well as the condition of your sofa. My couch is quilted with very think cushions and a broken spring so unfortunately this product didn't help in the slightest. This product didn't work for me, but that's not to say it might not work like a charm on a different type of couch. I guess you will have to decide if it's worth the gamble. ... show more

This is better than using magazines or a board, but I'd like it a little sturdier. Don't regret buying it. Very convenient and folds like an accordian. Received very fast. Looked cheap. Looked too thin. Put it in place and it did NOT make a difference. Thought it would stiffen up the seating, but it did not.
