Quality of construction, easy open door for cleaning and replacing bulbs, STYLE (updated our old polished brass fixures...contemporary traditional). These are beautiful lights and fit the style of our home. One review said it was put together with screws. Thats only partially true. There are many soldered joints. One screw was loose and laying inside the fixture, but with some work, I got it back in and made sure all the others were tight. I will say, the screws that hold the light to the brackets were too short and we had to go buy longer screws. Otherwise, installation was quick and simple. Another review said the metal was too thin. I didn’t find that to be the case. They are very sturdy and solder joints seem strong. We are looking forward to many years of enjoyment and beauty with the purchase. ... show more

Don't expect to take the included hardware and just mount them to your Electrical Box, UNLESS YOU GET LUCKY. Not a big deal , but had to get into my scrap saved hardware and bolts to make the lights work for me. On my boxes, I was able to take the existing drill out for there mounting screws, washer shim and attach., could not make the universal ring that comes with work. Happy ending love the lights. I'm still giving it a 5 star the look we wanted. ... show more

Access to light bulb is by way of a flimsy metal frame door that is difficult to open. Operating the latch on the door frame causes the metal frame to buckle and wrinkle. I ordered two lights and each had a wrinkled door frame. In summary, the light design frame is too delicate for an outdoor light.
