Building it was a great time, the instructions are very straightforward, I really appreciate how each part is numbered so you know exactly where they go. They also provide all of the tools for each step of the instructions, which I really loved about this. My biggest fear when shopping for one of these was putting it together, but they made it really easy. The whole build took my dad and I roughly two nights after work to complete, which is great for a giant home workout machine! I posted a video with a small close up of it, I think it's incredibly sturdy and well built. Specific things I like about it: - I really like the safety features of the bar, I feel very safe pushing my max weight knowing there's a guard there to watch out for me. - The pulleys are great for doing all sorts of exercises, just having those alone with the customizable height means I can do tons of workouts with just those. - The pull-up bar has several different ways you can grip it which is helps work different parts of your back - There are hooks to hang your stuff on and several plate holders, giving the machine an incredibly compact look, I love how little space it takes up for an entire gym in one! After using it for several weeks my verdict is that I'm very happy I canceled my gym membership for this! Before we got this I went to the gym several nights a week, I always hated having to actually drive somewhere to go workout and was looking for something like this. I did the math on this versus my gym membership and not only am I saving a half hour each day in driving alone, but this thing is gonna pay itself off in only a few years! Serious bang for your buck here for people who work 40 hours a week and want to workout afterwards without losing all of their free time. You can choose when to workout, how you want to do it, and you don't even have to drive home afterwards you can get right in the shower! Notes: Don't mind the clutter, were still renovating the basement. Also in my video I outfitted it with some of my workout gear already so ignore the pad on the bar and the red clips on the ends of the bar. Though I highly recommend them to those who lift weights :)

I recently upgraded from the Mikolo F4 Power Cage to the M4 Smith Machine, and I'm happy to report that this is well worth the price difference! Much of this review will compare the 2 experiences, but will also talk about overall satisfaction. I mainly upgraded for the dual cables so I can do chest fly's, but also because I'm somewhat interested in the Smitch Machine for added variation to a bunch of exercises. Pro's: 1. Packaging is a massive improvement. Not sure if they took feedback from others about how bad the packaging was on the F4 Power Cage and fixed everything, or you just get better packaging with the higher price tag of the M4. The F4 Power Cage was packaged rather loosely, one of the packages of bolts split open and there were lots of dings and punctures in the bozes themselves. I was very concerned that small pieces may have been lost. By contrast, this M4 Smith Machine's parts were wrapped in a kind of durable, stringy packaging bag, and they had stiff cardboard pieces inside the box to protect from punctures. Well done Mikolo! Keep in mind to expect it to ship in 4 boxes even if you only get one shipping number - I got one box one day and the other 3 the following day. 2. Cable Weight Slider is a big improvement. The F4 Power Cage cable weight slider was lifted on a square metal track with plastic wheels that were a little loose and would sometimes pop off a little bit. The M4 Smith Machine weight sliders are each on 2 cylindrical tracks, and they run very smoothly. Keep in mind that due to the design and pulley weight reduction, the total weight will be halved when you use it. 3. Assembly instructions are massively improved over the F4 Power Cage. The M4 Smith Machine instructions are incredibly clear and helped make it reasonably quick. Pro tip: use a power drill (not impact driver) on low torque with the clutch at like a 13 (mid-high) to get it mostly tight then finish with a socket wrench - 17mm socket is what you need. Only 4 bolts were in a place that were unreachable with that setup and needed the tiny wrench. 4. Cable Wheels seem like they'll be much better. The F4 Power Cage cable would frequently pop off the wheel if you pulled down at a slight angle and it was a pain to get back on - this seems like it won't have that problem. 5. I love the height of this, which still fits in my garage! I'm 6 feet tall, and I can dangle with my feet only slightly raised. With the F4 Power Cage, I needed to bend my knees at 90 degree angles. 6. I assembled the Smith Machine with the safety hooks at the bottom, but I may have to remove since I plan to use it for hip thrusts. Luckily it's really simple to remove if I need to. Con's 1. The holes on the front posts for the J Hooks/pulley slider are not number labeled, which I'm finding frustrating. 2. The attachments for the front post holes don't go in as cleanly as the F4 Power Cage, just a minor inconvenience. 3. The metal protector on the pulley ball on the handle side really grinds on the metal casing for the pivoting cable wheels when you first pull the cable down. Not sure if this is going to cause problems down the line, but I'll keep an eye on it. 4. I wish there was more weight storage - I plan to look into adding some to the other side of each of the 6 holders running up the back. Overall I'm very pleased with the upgrade. The new workouts that this has opened up are already hitting some previously unbothered assister muscles. I was between this and the Major Lutie with the same design, I went with Mikolo because it was slightly cheaper (got it for $1,200) it included leg holders for lat pull down, and the dip bars look more trustworthy to me.

This workout machine accomplishes hits every single machine I need at the gym. Cable machine, smith, squat rack, bench rack, seated cable pull. Assembly took a few hours - it’s a big and multi purpose unit - but instructions were clear and straightforward. Even the pull-up bar I am very impressed with. Some units have extra thick grips which I do not like. I did not need to bolt it into the floor as it is extremely durable and sturdy. Would 100% recommend to anyone who focuses on weightlifting and is looking for an awesome universal unit, at a good price.

I purchased this Smith machine/squat rack combo for myself and my teenage sons, and it has been a fantastic addition to our home gym. Assembly was straightforward with all of us working together, and the finished product is impressively sturdy and functional. We opted for the *ultra version* with aluminum pulleys, and it was absolutely worth it—the quality is excellent, and the movement is incredibly smooth and quiet. This machine allows for a wide variety of exercises, and the dual independent pulleys and easy one-hand cable adjustments make it feel like a commercial-grade system. The built-in weight and attachment storage is a great bonus and helps keep everything tidy. **Pros:** * Smooth, quiet Smith bar glide * Versatile range of exercises * Strong, sturdy frame with high weight capacity * Dual pulleys with easy adjustment * Excellent value—much cheaper than comparable models * Integrated storage for plates and accessories **Things to Consider:** * The 2:1 pulley ratio means you'll need to load more weight to feel the resistance (e.g., 150 lbs to feel 75 lbs). This might be a plus or minus depending on your training style. * The included leg hold-down attachment works, but it's mounted to a long spotter arm which positions you farther from the machine during lat pull-downs. It’s functional, just a bit awkward. There’s a better version available on Mikolo’s site and included with the 2.0 model—I wish mine came with that. Overall, this is hands down one of the best values on the market for a Smith/cable combo. It’s solid, smooth, and packed with features. Highly recommend and would definitely buy again.

I had been looking for one of these for a while and I finally decided to pull the trigger on it over prime day. The product was surprisingly well packaged (came in 4 boxes) and nothing was damaged. It conveniently has the hardware broken down by each step. I was missing steps 4-5, but I had an extra step 11 so I was still able to assemble it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU HAVE SOMEONE HELP YOU ASSEMBLE IT. It took me and a friend a little over 5 hours to assemble it. I don't feel like that is an unreasonable amount of time, it'd probably go faster if you pre-sort stuff when you take it out of the boxes. As for the features, it has everything we were looking for. I looked at all the other options on amazon and this one had better features than any other in the price range. I like that the cables are separate systems, my wife and I can do our workouts without having to change out all the weights between sets. I often work out alone so the smith system is awesome. The landmine is super useful, as is adjusting the heights of the pulleys, as well as all the attachments you can put on depending on what workouts you're doing. The only things I bought separately were a few cable handles, a back brace, bigger carabiners, and clamps. You don't need all those but I thought they were nice additions and with this equipment being cheaper than competitors you'll have some extra cash to buy more accessories. Also, customer support is very responsive so if you have any questions or need help they've got you covered!

My husband and I wanted to build a small home gym so that we could be more efficient with our time while raising our baby. Commuting to the gym was 30 minutes I didn't have to lose. My problem was creating a space that I felt had a lot of potential for my workouts. My search for a high quality squat rack started. At first I was just looking for a squat rack and then I started to see that some had more functions than others. I then started looking for a smith machine/squat rack that had as many capabilities as possible. Once I found this smith machine/squat rack I knew I had to have it. It has so many different exercises that can be performed and it had amazing reviews. I had to try it. We got it in the mail less than a week after placing our order and we were so excited to put it together. It took my husband about 4 hours to put it together. Let me tell you this machine is high quality and looks amazing. We love to use it and it has saved us so much time from going to the gym. We are more consistent with our work outs and it's all due to this machine. We even added some mirrors and some nice floor pads. We love this machine and would recommend it to anyone looking to save some time while still working out from home.
