I bought the Mikolo Power Cage about a month ago and I'm very pleased with it in just about every way. I did a lot of research considering the different lifting racks available on Amazon in my price range ($500-$600 USD) and the Mikolo rack was the best reviewed, most fully featured and well built at this price point in my opinion. It really has everything I need for the core exercises I do in my garage gym. The equipment arrived intact and not scratched at all. Mikolo did a great job packing the rack into two boxes. The pulley system feels sturdy, the attachments, while simple, don't feel cheap or flimsy. There is a slight tilt to the floating pulley which sometimes catches on my 45lbs plates, but that could be due more to how my grip weights are designed (they have a series of knobs that stick out farther than most plates) rather than a flaw in the engineering of the Power Rack. I've used every attachment, pull up bar, dip bar, landmine, weight storage, and barbell support and they all function perfectly. The whole rack feels refined and is not wobbly at all- which is a common complaint about several other competing rack manufacturers. I love that I can buy and use other standard 2” tube attachments without worrying that they won't fit. I suppose the only drawback I found was in deciphering the assembly instructions. They rely heavily on pictures rather than clearly worded directions, and the pictures were too small to see very well, but they were correct! All parts were provided by Mikolo and after I figured out how to understand the directions, assembly went smoothly. I was able to put the whole thing together by myself. Finally, the paint job (powder-coat?) is durable- I haven't scratched it yet- and the color is a beautiful shade of blue. I love it! I would totally buy it again but I won't need to because this rack is a tank. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE 1/17/24: I had an issue with one of the parts that holds the weights for the cables. Reached out to customer service. They were very quick to respond and sent me a new part. Awesome!! I purchased this out of chance because the reviews were mixed on this item. However, I’m glad I took the chance because this powerrack is fantastic! Very sturdy, well organized, and worth every penny. I’m guessing other reviewers did not tighten the bolts enough (you need a socket set) which is why theirs feels not sturdy. Also, I put the dip bars on the side because I quickly realized they got in the way when benching or squatting. It only took about 2-3 hours to put together and was very easy. It did take 2 people though cause there were parts that hald to be suspended in the air. Cables work well and hold decent weight. I highly recommend this powerrack if you are looking for a home gym for under $500! ... show more

I'm moving to this power cage after using a fitness reality xlt for several years. This cage is sturdy and handles weighted pullups, 300lb squats, etc without issues like sliding or tilting. The holes are are nicely marked with cut in numbers to keep track of where you set your attachments (it fits 2x2 attachments). The barbell and weight holders are great to have built in for convenience and work properly aka they aren't tilted or have stuff sliding off. Then the number of attachments it comes with is excellent to get you started using the cable system. Speaking of which the cable system is smooth and does not squeak or "catch" when using it. It rolls in every direction you need it to. The only downsides are that the the spotter arms aren't the best at only a 200lbs each with a skinny insert rod that makes them tilt a bit, and that the carabiner clips on the cables will sometimes get stuck closed if you use heavy weights. I still recommend this cage for the value and build quality since it can be further upgraded with 2X2 attachments. It should last many years and be reliable for getting properly swole. P.S. The assembly is much easier if you follow the directions on their YouTube video. ... show more

If you have the budget, I’d suggest upgrading to the version with crossover pulleys to unlock more versatility and make the most of your setup. PROS: ✅ Easy Assembly – The instructions are straightforward and beginner-friendly. I’d recommend grabbing a second person to help—it makes things way faster and less frustrating. ✅ Durable Construction – After a full year of consistent use, this cage is still holding strong. It’s taken some abuse and only shows minor dents and surface blemishes, which is a good sign of tough build quality. ✅ Functional Pulley System – The cables work smoothly and haven’t shown signs of wear or fraying. The pulley mechanism performs as expected without sticking or snagging. CONS: ❌ Landmine Attachment Flaw – Big letdown here. The landmine doesn’t fit a standard Olympic barbell, which basically makes it useless unless you jerry-rig a fix. ❌ Pulley Handles Feel Cheap – The included attachments are a weak point. The grips started slipping off during lifts, so I ended up replacing them pretty quickly. ❌ J-Hole Spacing Could Be Better – The hole distances feel slightly awkward, especially for lifts like bench press and squats. I’m often stuck choosing between “too high” or “too low,” which can be frustrating mid-workout. Final Thoughts: Despite the flaws, this is a solid cage for both beginners starting their fitness journey and seasoned lifters building out a home gym.
