I bought the Mighty 3 because I wanted music without carrying around a distracting glowing rectangle all day, and honestly, it delivers that experience better than almost anything else out there. The best part is the freedom. It feels like the modern version of an old iPod Shuffle, except it works with Spotify playlists and podcasts. I’ve used it for walks, workouts, errands, and times when I want music without getting sucked into notifications or social media. It’s tiny, lightweight, and easy to clip onto clothing, and the offline playback works great once everything is synced. Battery life has been solid for me, and I like that it works with both Bluetooth and wired headphones. The sound quality is surprisingly good for such a small device. It’s also nice for people trying to cut down screen time, runners who don’t want to carry a phone, or parents looking for a music player for kids without giving them full smartphone access. That said, it definitely isn’t perfect. Setup can be frustrating at first, and syncing playlists sometimes feels slower than it should. Bluetooth pairing can occasionally be temperamental too. A lot of the experience depends on how patient you are with the app and syncing process. Overall, though, I still really like it. The Mighty 3 succeeds at something most devices fail at now: letting you enjoy music without dragging your entire digital life along with it.     • Disappointing product, frustrating customer service

I bought this for my son 8 months ago to have access to screen free audiobooks and music. It seemed like the gem we had been waiting for. Synching to Spotify has been frustrating, time-consuming and often doesn't work. The Mighty will randomly delete playlists or portions of playlists that have been synched. When I try to synch playlists, I often have to sit and watch it while it does one song at a time, with each song taking a few minutes to synch. Audiobooks and podcasts are even more difficult to synch and often don't work at all. I have tried resetting to factory settings and reinstalling the App. I've reached out to customer service several times, getting an unfriendly response after several attempts. When I did another factory reset as they requested, the chain of emails somehow disappeared from my inbox and now I cannot get in touch with anyone again. What a disappointment. Be advised, they sent out an email saying this will no longer be compatible with Spotify come Spring of 2027. ... show more

Alright, so I was pretty skeptical about how good this media player was going to be but I took a chance and just purchased it. As soon as it arrived, I opened the cute box it came in and the instructions were very easy and straight forward. You have to download the app to make this work.. you also have to have Spotify or Amazon music. It was very easy to load Playlists on this media player. I was impressed with how quick it was and when you do turn it on, it tells you what playlist will play and you have the freedom to customize or delete your lists on the app. I have been listening to this media player in bed or when I work out. I love that I don't have to have my phone on me when I work out. It's also really great that the media player has a clip to it that is reliable while you work out. Last thing I need is for it to fly off and break while I work out. There were just a few cons: -For the cost, I assumed it would of come with headphones but you have to purchase your own. It's compatible with the standard headphone jack (I believe it's 3.5mm) -While playing, there is a green bright light that blinks to indicate that the media player is on. This is annoying when you want to lay in bed with total darkness but I just put it under the covers, which obviously solved the problem.. Just wanted to give a heads up. -I am not sure when it comes to Amazon music but since I have Spotify, I can speak in behalf of that music service. You HAVE TO have Spotify premium. This media player will not allow you to make playlists without it. I assumed it would be fine with the free music I do listen to on Spotify but It did not. I ended up subscribing to Spotify. Another heads up, if this is something that may bother you. Overall, i really am enjoying this media player and do recommend it, especially if you want to disconnect from your phone for a while like I do. ... show more

It started off well enough, downloaded Mighty app (only 1.9 stars average by the way) and it connected to my wifi, phone, and spotify account no problem. But when you actually try to download a playlist it keeps disconnecting in the middle of the syncing process. I tried small playlists 18 songs, 33, songs, and 39 songs. No playlist size works. It unsyncs itself constantly.. I got lucky once and was able to download the 18 song playlist after about an hour of trying, and then when I tried to sync a new playlist, in unsynced the 18 song playlist I finally got onto it! Seriously!? The Mighty app would uninstall itself if it had the opportunity. I also tried the standard, have Mighty 3 charging while syncing, uninstall the app and reinstall it, restart my phone, be close to my wifi router (15 feet away). Nothing works. All I can caution others is please don't waste you money on this product, it will cause you a headache and your wallet will hurt. Update: The company is sneaky and deceitful. When I bought the Mighty 3 it said that it was compatible with Spotify. But with the last update it said that on April 21st 2027 Mighty 3 will no longer support Spotify. The Mighty 3 supporting Spotify was the whole reason why I bought it to begin with, so it's really messed up that they advertised it has working with Spotify when I purchased it. ... show more

DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU USE AMAZON MUSIC . I bought this one month ago as it was marketed to use Spotify and amazon music. It works well, but today I got notified that they will no longer be compatible with Spotify so it is either get an amazon music account after being a long time Spotify user or find another mp3 player. I can't return it as I am passed the return window. Amazon music does not allow for audiobooks to be downloaded the same way as Spotify so audiobooks on the player isn't an option with amazon music. The player itself it great and works well for my kid, but after just one month of ownership and finding out that Spotify will not work within the coming months, it was a waste of money. ... show more

I was a little confused by this product at first, because the language they use in the listing for it is misleading. I get what they meant now, but the "no phone required" is not quite true. If you scroll down to the Q&A section, it does tell you this. The question asks: Do I need a smartphone? And the answer is "Yes." But I wasn't aware I would need my phone necessarily to sync songs to it, if for example, I had wanted to just plug it in near my computer to sync with spotify that way. I would've liked that a bit better, because otherwise it tells you to not close the Mighty app on your phone while it is syncing with Spotify....and depending on how large your song list is, that might take a long time. It would definitely be more convenient if I could either close out of the app or use spotify on my PC to download the songs. Not a huge deal either way, though. Another thing they could improve as far as communication about this device goes is to have the app walk you through the process and go over each of the features and how to do everything. I had to look in several places, including the app, the amazon listing, and the "getting started" website they have in order to figure out how to set it all up. Once it was finally set up though, it works pretty well. There were a few instances of the bluetooth connection cutting in and out, but very infrequently and it only lasted a few seconds each time. The volume control is great -- I'm able to turn up the volume on my earbuds even louder than I can on my phone or computer, which is helpful for listening to music while I'm vacuuming or doing something else with lots of noise. The feature where you can double tap the play button to have it verbally tell you the name of the song and artist worked well, and skipping forward or backward did as well. I haven't used the button in the upper right-hand corner yet, but my understanding is that is used for setting your song list to shuffle. Overall, I do like this little device, and I'll definitely get some use out of it, but probably only in specific situations. The example I gave earlier of using it when I'm vacuuming is definitely one where I'll use it, and I also would use it in situations where I may not be able to easily charge my phone or I want to conserve the phone battery but also listen to music (so mostly when traveling). I may also use it when exercising at home, but probably not if I'm going for a walk or something since I prefer to carry my phone with me in that situation. So just make sure you understand exactly what it is and determine whether you have a use for it. If you do, it's definitely worth it! ... show more

We bought this for our tween to listen to music on the bus to school because we did not want her to have a phone. The idea is great: it’s basically a modern version of an iPod Shuffle. It’s tiny enough to fit in the palm of your hand, and once everything is set up, she can listen to music through her Bluetooth headphones without needing a phone. Getting to that point, however, was much more difficult than it should have been. The initial setup was tricky, and connecting it to Spotify was also frustrating. Syncing music was painfully slow and took multiple hours. You also have to keep the Mighty plugged into the computer AND keep the app open on your phone during the process. The app/device will time out and go to sleep after a minute or two if you're not actively interacting with it, so you can't simply plug everything in and walk away. It required a lot of attention and babysitting. Once we finally figured out the process and got music loaded, it worked well for what we needed. My daughter has been using it for about 9 months, and we've been pretty happy with it overall. Unfortunately, there's now another major concern. We recently received an email from Mighty stating that Spotify will no longer be supported beginning April 21, 2027 due to changes to Spotify's platform. Since Spotify was the main reason we purchased this device, this is a significant issue for us. I'm concerned that without Spotify support, the device may eventually become essentially useless for our intended purpose. Overall, I really like the concept and the device itself has worked mostly ok once we figured it out. But the setup should be MUCH easier, and the loss of Spotify is a major concern. If you're considering buying this primarily for Spotify, I would definitely take that announcement into consideration before purchasing. ... show more

These music players have been amazing for our kids. We go on long trips each year and as they're getting more into music we get a lot of requests for the same songs again and again and again. Lol these have saved us from arguments over which song gets played next and how many times they want to listen to one song. Now we can all listen to what we want in the car! Added plus that its a screen free device, just a simple music player. So no worries about cracked screens, apps, internet connection on the go, or parental controls. It took the kids a minute to adjust to not seeing what they're doing on the device but now they're getting the hang of it and memorizing what order their songs are in. I went for the might players specifically because we have a Spotify account. It was fairly simple to setup and get connected to my account. Created a playlist for each kid and then was able to connect both Mighty players to the same Spotify account and same Mighty account. I did run into the problem with syncing Spotify playlists where it will sync so many songs then stop syncing. Just takes a little more effort and attention to sync them completely but I usually just do it while I'm sitting down to eat or watching TV so its not like I'm needing my phone for anything else for the moment. I just restart the sync when I notice it stopped and eventually it does get all of the songs on there. I did contact customer service about this and they are aware of the problem and trying to find a solution to make syncing with Spotify more smooth. They said its not a problem on amazon music playlists though. Battery life is pretty good on these as well. Charging though is like the old iPod nanos I believe it was, where they charge through the aux jack. So can't just use whatever cable is laying around.
