I got this inflatable collar for my dog after his neutering surgery. And to say my dog was NOT a fan of the cone they put on him would be an understatement but protecting him from himself is definitely necessary so I sought this inflatable ring out as an alternative solution The fit is good, it is adjustable and has an adjustable velcro strap, so you can get it snug but not too tight. My dod seemed way more comfortable in this than he ever was in the plastic cone. He could actually lie down and get some sleep without that giant lampshade on his head. This is made of a soft, almost velvety material, and the inside is just like a pool floaty but you blow it up yourself. So this definitely stopped him from licking his incision, which is the main point. He could still kinda reach his paws and tail, but the vet said that was not a huge concern in his case. The biggest plus is he can see where he is walking now and could eat and drink without me having to take the thing off every time, which was a huge relief.

It really works. My dog had tail surgery and the hard plastic cone was rough. This is easy to put on and he seems to be really comfortable with it. Like putting shoulder pads on a football player. No more jarring impacts, he just bumps into stuff (softly) and keeps moving. Lol.

This worked great for two days. My dog didn't like it too much but it kept him from messing with his incision. The third night, after seeing us reinflate the donuts a few times, he managed to figure out that if he chewed off the air valve topper that the whole thing would be useless. Now he's dressed like elf on a shelf.

When opposed to the stiff plastic cones that I had previously used for other dogs, the inflated construction seemed to be quite promising since it provided a more comfortable sensation. The usage of this solution on a daily basis allowed me to ensure that Max was able to walk about freely while at the same time keeping him from licking or biting his surgery site. I believe that one of the most notable characteristics of this collar is its capacity to be adjusted. Despite Max's occasional attempts to squirm out of it, the adjustable straps made it simple to suit him in a convenient and comfortable manner. It is essential to have this flexibility in order to guarantee that the collar will remain in place without generating any extra strain or pain. In addition, the unique design that does not obstruct Max's vision has been a significant step forward in the industry. In contrast to conventional cones, which may cause dogs to experience feelings of disorientation and anxiety, Max looks to be much more settled and self-assured when he is wearing our inflated collar. I have the impression that the total degree of comfort provided by this device is substantially greater than that provided by conventional electronic collars. Soft, inflated material minimizes discomfort and soreness that may occasionally arise from hard cones rubbing against a dog's neck. This is because the material is soft and inflatable. Had to get the big boy some vet care for split nails and he wouldn't leave his wrap or the paw alone and can't tolerate a regular E collar. My vet suggested an inflatable collar and this was one of the best things I could do. The double ring kept it flexible so he could sleep and eat without food and water spilling (the plastic tube had everything EVERYWHERE), but kept him from being able to gnaw off the wrappings again. It wipes down easily with cleaning solution and doesn't discolor it or make it pop. The clips make it easy to adjust for Max since he's a boxer and has that burly, barrel chest and is oddly shaped to begin with lol.

I was satisfied for this collar for the 4 days. Everything seems fine. On the fifth day my dog just bites the collar, the collar deflates, and the dog licked the surgical area. The idea is completely wrong, you cannot use protective collar destroyable by the single dog bite.

Arrived on time. Our 60 lb rescue (Shepard-mix) was having TPLO surgery and we knew he would have to wear a cone for a few weeks (he's a licker/picker who doesn't leave things alone) and past experience with the typical cone have not gone well for any of us. This was easy to inflate & put on him. We left it with our vet prior to surgery (they loved it) and he came home with it on. It has kept him from being able to get to his rear leg which is what we needed; while he doesn't love wearing it he is not uncomfortable with it on and is able to rest comfortably (think travel neck pillow). We do remove it when he's go outside for a bathroom break because he needs to smell the ground before he will relieve himself (but it is easy to take off/put on). The rehab therapist was also impressed with it & said she'd be recommending.
