I have come to realize that Hailey Edwards has the ability to hijack your day or night so if like myself you cave and open the book before you actually have time to read it, we’ll get comfortable and have plenty of snacks at hand because you’re in it until the last word. This book will take you on several journeys and not all are pleasant or planned but so worth it in the end. I think my favorite thing about reading this series is there is no pressure for everything to be perfect and sweet by the end because life certainly isn’t and the author might not turn lemons into lemonade nor does she shy away from shining a light on harsh reality but she never makes you feel like the only person who is struggling with it. If you like your books with a dose of darkness with your energy, dark humor and cracked characters that are so real you wonder where they went when you close the book THIS is the series for you. Family friendly and collection shelf worthy this book, heck every book of hers I’ve read is compelling and bingeable with unique tie ins to mythology and all things paranormal.

Midnight Autoparts is another absolute gem in Hailey Edwards’ stellar lineup of urban fantasy. This series is just so good—each book somehow gets better, the characters grow and evolve in ways that feel natural and earned, and the worldbuilding? Absolutely fantastic. Frankie is a powerhouse of a protagonist. Watching her come into her own over the course of the series is incredibly satisfying. And Keirce—ugh, that man. Their evolving relationship is such a sweet, slow-burn delight. There's so much tenderness and mutual respect layered under their banter and tension, and it's impossible not to root for them. One of the biggest strengths of this series is the strong found family element. The quirky, loyal, sometimes chaotic crew that surrounds Frankie adds so much depth and heart. The side characters are memorable in their own right—each with their own quirks and stories that make them feel like real people you’d want to hang out with (or maybe run from, depending on the day). The plot is tightly woven with twists that keep you on your toes, and the supernatural elements are rich without ever feeling overwhelming. Edwards has created a world that’s easy to get lost in, and honestly? I need the next book like yesterday. Highly recommend this series to fans of urban fantasy, slow-burn romance, and unforgettable characters.

I don’t give 5 star ratings as it contacted perfection. But the growth of Frankie, Josie, Carter (which as a thousands of years being is saying something), and even Pierce was a joy. I also commend the author for this book to branch out and give a totally new story to have the characters grow through. A must read, which doesn’t need the first 2 books but they are great stories too.

I love Frankie! She has some serious new challenges to deal with, but don't worry, she'll figure it out! Just because she found out she was a demi-goddess, doesn't mean she doesn't have bills to pay! Frankie has another runner, and it is going to get messy. But she doesn't back down. I loved this book, not only for the story, but the character development is seriously taking off for the whole caste. This found family is adorable and I love them.

Alright, first I have to admit that the 4 stars are because the author left the ending with a cliffhanger. Normally I love Ms Edwards and would give her 5 stars because I love her writing style and her wonderful characters practically leap off the page, but I absolutely hate to wait on another book to finish the storyline - especially when that book hasn’t been published yet. As of now, the fourth book has finally arrived, but at the time I read this book, that wasn’t the case which may have ticked me off a little. Otherwise I have absolutely no complaints about this series or the book itself. You don’t have to read her other series to understand this story, however it does enrich your understanding of this world and what necromancers can do. I would encourage you to read the other series simply because I enjoy them so much, but that is entirely up to you.

Frankie is doing her thing and keeping the family together, when one of the loaners disappears which leads to all kinds of changes to series plot, but don’t let me tell you. Read all about it with book three and then wander what books four and five will be about. Promise they will be awesome!

Plus, she seems to have caught the attention of several gods. None of them appear to be benevolent. While, she’s trying to learn about her new powers, she has another runner. Besides jeopardizing her business, she’s worried her runner could be connected to a larger mystery. Working with the authorities makes sense and can get her more attention than she wants.
