**4 Stars – Good Quality, But Calves Run Tight** I purchased these costume pants for an event, and overall, I’m quite happy with the quality and fit. The material feels durable and well-made, perfect for a costume piece that still looks sharp. The waist and length fit true to size, and they were comfortable for the most part. However, the calves were way too tight for me, which made them a bit uncomfortable to wear for extended periods. I don’t have particularly large calves, so this was a bit surprising. That said, I’ll definitely be buying these again but will go with the next larger size to allow for more room in the legs. If you’re planning to wear them for a long event or have more muscular calves, I’d recommend sizing up. Otherwise, they’re a solid choice! ... show more

These XL in dark grey are just right for our costume party. They are much better quality than I was expecting. The lacings look great. Very happy with this. The material is cotton and does not have stretch to it, but the waist does. The fit is similar to leisure pants. Sizing up for him really worked. If you want them a tighter fit, then go true to size. They look really really nice. Soft and comfortable, look decent with tennis shoes. The grommets for the laces are good quality, and the tie strings are too. These have now been through 3 Renaissance Fairs in 80 degree weather and have held up well. Perfectly match my viking top accessories. Lightweight, pretty breathable, but they do get warm in the sun. Functions as expected!
