I have been ferally anticipating this read, because let’s be real—Mephistopheles has been my problematic fave since book one. And bébés, Ascher delivered. Not just delivered so much as kicked down the door with spice, snark, and a chaos-gremlin level of heart that left me cackling and clutching my chest in equal measure. Meph and Iris brought absolute menace energy. 🥹 Him, a demon who literally snacks on fear like it’s popcorn at the movies. Her, a witch so snarky she could probably hex you with her sarcasm alone. And together they delivered banter so sharp it could cut glass, plus chemistry hot enough to make hell look like an icebox. Don’t get me wrong— this book was hilarious and filthy in all the ways I love, but it also went deeper. Fear, trust, belonging, self acceptance/forgiveness, fear of vulnerability, dealing with grief, and mental health rep… all those messy little themes lurking under the surface like monsters under your bed. And I was here for every unhinged, spicy, heart-grabbing second. Ascher just has a way of making this whole band of weirdos feel like family— you laugh with them, cry with them, and maybe even want to brave attempting to draw a hellgate and summon them (if only for the free cocktails and bare witness to the hilarious chaos first hand). If you’re craving a dark romcom that’s equal parts laugh-til-you-snort, swoon-til-you-sob, and fan-yourself-til-you-overheat, you will definitely love this book and series. ... show more

I just devoured Demon with Benefits by Aurora Ascher! This series just keeps getting better. Before I even get to the story, I have to talk about the physical copy. The sprayed edges are absolutely stunning and really take the book to the next level. I'm a total sucker for a good sprayed edge. ✨ But seriously, the book itself was a 10/10. The witty banter and sizzling, spicy energy were everything. I loved getting to see all of the characters from the first two books again and feeling that strong found family bond that always gets me right in the feels. Meph and Iris's love story was just so incredibly sweet. Watching them both grow and overcome their own struggles was so heartwarming and rewarding. Their journey wasn't always easy, but it felt real and ultimately brought them closer together. If you're looking for an amazing demon and paranormal romance series, this is definitely the one you need to pick up! ... show more

I picked this book up first, even knowing It was the third book in a series. I really love this book. I’m gonna go back and read the rest even though it is part of a series, I feel like you can pick this up, get the back stories of the side characters and still be able to really enjoy Meph and Iris. Getting to know these two characters and watching them grow into their love story was really sweet. A demon and a witch sound like a very unlikely couple however, Iris really comes to understand him, after being taught to not interact with demons, and love both sides of him. I really love the symbolic message within the story. ... show more

Enjoyable read with some humor and romance. This series definitely gives me a chuckle. Meph always has a smile on his face, even when he's angry. Something bad haunts him, but he works hard to hide it. Finding a passion like his brother Ash helps, but also, having some fun with blood-born witch Iris. Iris also has her past haunting her. Her sister may have forgiven her from keeping secrets, but can she forgive herself. Meph and Iris find themselves discovering out more about themselves, and dealing with Hell (figuratively and literally). With the characters we have met from from the first 2 and the adorable little hellbeast that comes to their lives, things will never be the same. Is it going to be good or for the better? I love the interactions and the use of folklore. I wasn't really into the demon romance, but I am enjoying those scenes. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Demon with Benefits is the perfect mix of spice, snark, and supernatural chaos — basically everything I needed in this installment of the series. Who knew Meph’s story could be this funny and this hot? I did. I’m so glad I was right. The banter had me laughing out loud, and the tension had me fanning myself like a Victorian lady in distress. It’s giving “oops, I accidentally summoned my situationship” energy, and honestly, I’m not mad about it. The chemistry? Off the charts. The humor? Chef’s kiss. If sarcasm and seduction had a baby, it would be this book. 10/10 would 100% risk eternal damnation again. I also absolutely ADORE the Deluxe Editions of each book in the series and this one was no exception! ... show more

    • Different but Wow! A Great Read.

Great Read! I was excited to read this book when I ordered but had second thoughts once I received it (it is not my usual type of read). The cover was stunningly beautiful so I decided to give it a try. I put it down after the first few pages as it was a very different read than what I am used to went back some time later determined to give it another try. I pushed through the next few pages and I was hooked! Now, less than 24 hours later I’ve finished..😞 Now I have to order the rest in this series. Back track a bit but if the first two are like this one it’s totally worth it!😁 ... show more
