For those who can't t shell out for a Zojirushi.
Found this after a long time comparing and looking at rice cookers, seeing which ones had both the fabled fuzzy logic and the indispensable induction heating technologies which together supposedly make $300-$400 Zojirushi rice cookers the best. This one I think goes on deal occasionally for 139. Grab it. The menu options are limited, but it will serve you well. 40 minute white rice option, 25 minute quick rice option, 1 hour 20 minute brown rice, etc. options adjustable with the plus and minus buttons. Comes with steam basket you will most likely forget in a cabinet somewhere, then rejoice at finally finding again. Steam function is really hot, works well for steaming dumplings and whatever else you want to put in the basket. Just fill the rice pot with some water, mount the basket on the top of the bowl, and steam. Keep warm function works great, but makes a buzzing sound sometimes. It also rehears your rice very well and quickly. The bowl loses some of its black nonstick coating, develops some brownish spots over time. Seems to be cosmetic, does not affect rice quality or cause food to stick to surface or burn. Save the 200 extra bucks, forget your dreams of Zojirushi. Learn rice cooker recipes.

Rice Cooker Rawks.
A rice cooker is a necessary appliance in our kitchen. Through the years, we’ve gone through many types and brands of rice cookers and this has been the best one by far. Quality of appliance is exceptional, with the inner pot being the thickest pot of any cooker we’ve had. It’s substantial and heavy in weight. Having the heating source above, below and around the pot, has consistently made a good pot of rice each time. It’ll make 1 cup as consistently to making 10 cups of rice - something I’ve noticed isn’t true of other rice cookers. Easy-to-use and a good value for the price, it’s been a welcomed purchase.

Long Overdue Purchase
Should have bought a quality Rice Cooker years ago. Super simple to use, easy clean up. The induction cooking is great. We use this almost daily and have nothing but good things to say

Has Noise after few months
It’s okay at the beginning when we get it, but now every time we use it, it has a noise! So annoying! Very disappointed!

Long cook times but quality product
Really nice rice cooker that we've been using now for years without any issues. The listed cooking times are definitely longer than my previous cooker, but the rice comes out with much higher quality. I think white rice was 40 min and brown rice was 80 min. So just make sure you have enough prep time because the cook time is pretty substantial.

This doesn't have keep-warm function more than 24hr.
Being Japanese, I know that rice cookers have a keep-warm function. But this rice cooker doesn't have a keep-warm function. It was my mistake to buy this rice cooker. The keep-warm function is a common function for rice cookers, so I didn't pay it any attention. This rice cooker recommends removing the rice from the cooker a few hours after cooking. This is surprising to me. I always forget to transfer the rice, and because this rice cooker turns off the keep warm function after 24 hours, the rice is always cold and mushy by the time I want to eat it next day for example. If you are expecting a Japanese type rice cooker, this is not it. Japanese rice cookers are expensive. This one is decent but without that feature it is a bit overpriced in my opinion. I am regretting!!! It was shame!!
