Quality of appliance is exceptional, with the inner pot being the thickest pot of any cooker we’ve had. It’s substantial and heavy in weight. Having the heating source above, below and around the pot, has consistently made a good pot of rice each time. I recently purchased this rice cooker, and I absolutely love it! The 25-minute option is a game changer for quick meals, unlike others that take 40 minutes. It even comes with a tray where I can steam vegetables while the rice cooks, so I get rice and veggies done at the same time – super convenient and fast. Being Japanese, I know that rice cookers have a keep-warm function. But this rice cooker doesn't have a keep-warm function. It was my mistake to buy this rice cooker. The keep-warm function is a common function for rice cookers, so I didn't pay it any attention. This rice cooker recommends removing the rice from the cooker a few hours after cooking. This is surprising to me. I always forget to transfer the rice, and because this rice cooker turns off the keep warm function after 24 hours, the rice is always cold and mushy by the time I want to eat it next day for example. If you are expecting a Japanese type rice cooker, this is not it. Japanese rice cookers are expensive. This one is decent but without that feature it is a bit overpriced in my opinion. I am regretting!!! It was shame!!

I bought this cooker and later I found a pressure cooker with similar prices. I created a return label. (Thank Amazon for the convenience). After receiving the pressure cooker, I first tried to cook rice. I will say I still prefer this cooker for rice. The pressure cooker is also not bad. Especially for soups, mix grains,. I will keep both.
