My old air conditioner broke down, and after seeing this Midea smart air conditioner, I immediately ordered it. It proved to be a very good choice; the quality is excellent. The unit comes with a stand, making installation very convenient. The U-shaped design saves space, and most importantly, the machine runs very quietly and distributes air evenly. It also comes with a portable remote control, so I don't have to get up in the middle of the night to operate it. This is fantastic for me. I’m really happy with my purchase. The installation process was easier than I expected. The instructions were clear, and it took me around 30 minutes to get everything set up properly in the window. Apple home.and alexa.i can control temperature, set schedule. And even turn it on/off remotely from my phone. Timer function is handy for energy savings. I’m giving 2 stars because when it works, it works great. Night 1 was absolutely perfect. After that, this thing rattles like CRAZY. It’s to the point that it wakes me up and I can’t get back to sleep. It only does it when the AC kicks on. Fan on full blast no issue. AC starts and the rattling starts. I have 2 other Midae Us. We have the unit installed in the bathroom to help control humidity, of which it seems to work pretty well. The reason for 4 stars is the design could be improved for air sealing. The u-channel that the window closes into has irregularities and if you can't install the bracket directly against the window lip, then you have to use a lot of foam to fill in the gaps. Our challenge was sealing everything up. In theory the u-shaped design is better because it keeps the noise of the compressor outside, but they didn't make the inside channel smooth so the window closes into something flat. ... show more
