I’ve been using the Midea Ushape for a few days now, and honestly, I’m really impressed with it. Setting it up was pretty straightforward thanks to the included bracket and easy-to-follow instructions. The U-shaped design is also a nice touch since you can keep the window partially open for some fresh air and still enjoy the view. The smartphone app is super handy. I can control the unit remotely, adjust the temperature, and keep an eye on usage without any hassle. It also works with Alexa and Google Assistant, which is a nice perk. My husband researched this brand and type of window a/c unit and was pleased with his findings. He purchased this air conditioning unit because of its efficiency, cooling output, and quietness. We first purchased this brand in a 12000 BTU size to cool our entire 900 sq. ft. downstairs. We were so impressed with it and the money it saved on our electric bill that we bought 2 of these 10000 BTU units to cool the upstairs bedrooms. They run much quieter and more efficiently than expected. It was easy to install and set up. My husband just turned it to Economy Saver, set the temperature where we wanted it, turned the unit on, and in no time at all we were feeling cool and comfortable. The remote control is an added bonus too. My husband loves having the remote to control the a/c unit so he doesn’t have to get out of bed to make temperature adjustments. It might seem expensive at first, but it is well worth the price. We just got our first electric bill since using these a/c units and we couldn’t believe the savings. Our bill was about half of what it used to be with our old units. I love how the window can go down because of the inverter. The noise level is low compared to others. Also it’s nice and cold on a hot summer day which makes it very comfortable. It's very quiet, but it occasionally rattles which is a little annoying. It will stop rattling if I turn it off and then turn it back on after a while. I'm not crazy about the way the thermostat works. Right now. It's 79° in this room and I have the thermostat on the air conditioner set at 76 ° and it's not running. So I guess I'd like it in general but I don't love it ... show more

I got this to cool off an upstairs bedroom in an old house. The central air does not do a good job cooling off the upstairs. It's hot outside. Really hot. But this unit keeps my bedroom a cool 68F, and it is very quiet. My only gripe with this unit is the support “rack” you install in the window to set the AC on. It is sturdy, no doubt, but it’s janky to fool with until you get it set properly. Janky, flimsy, wobbly wobbly. But once it is set it is secure. Set aside time to install. I'm not the brightest crayon when it comes to handy man stuff so if you're like me give yourself an hour to install. Also search for an install vid before Ac arrives it will help. Helicopter noise issue: stick a stick under it inside to support the weight or you can wrap a strap around the unit and the rack on the outside. It's just “loose” fitment causing vibration. I stuck something under it on the inside of the window to apply upward pressure and it alleviated the helicopter noise. No biggie. You'll know the sound. It's annoying, but fixable. ... show more
