I’ve been using the Midea Ushape for a few days now, and honestly, I’m really impressed with it. Setting it up was pretty straightforward thanks to the included bracket and easy-to-follow instructions. The U-shaped design is also a nice touch since you can keep the window partially open for some fresh air and still enjoy the view. The smartphone app is super handy. I can control the unit remotely, adjust the temperature, and keep an eye on usage without any hassle. It also works with Alexa and Google Assistant, which is a nice perk. The thing that stands out the most is how quiet it is. On low mode, you can barely hear it, making it great for sleeping or getting work done. Even on high mode, it sounds more like a fan than a typical window AC. It’s done a great job cooling my bed room. The inverter technology keeps the temperature steady, and it seems to use less energy than the older unit I had before. Wow! This is a great air conditioner. It comes with a bracket that keeps it very stable so there is no rattling or noise. Super quiet (only hear the fan) and cools very well. Great design and easy to install. I was able to lift it into place myself and I am a "she".

I am extremely impressed with AC unit starting with just opening the box . Everything was in tight foam inserts and was very protected . Setup is very easy and the included quick start guide and manual make it even easier . The unit comes with a support , so the weight itn’t held by the window like a lot of other models , and has an impressive amount of adjustment , so it should be able to fit any standard-depth wall , also included in the box is several different types of foam making it completely adjustable and allows a truly custom fit without having to buy anything else. The U-shaped of the unit is also an amazing idea . There’s so much less area to block off to maintain a deal . The quiet feature is very accurate when compared to my old unit , and isn’t even as loud as a box fan , so it’s great to run at night . I haven’t tried the smart features yet , but i’s sure they are good enough based on how many manufacturers included them now . The only thing I am not satisfied with the shiyis a bit slow . But it turned out it’s worth the wait and I am looking forward to putting it through its paces this summer ... show more

This Midea window air conditioner is such a great find! Installing it into the window was quick and hassle-free, no complex modifications required. It cools down my room rapidly and runs surprisingly quiet, even overnight with sleep mode on. I love the handy remote that rests perfectly on top of the unit, plus the ECO setting keeps energy costs low. Multiple fan and dehumidify modes fit all my daily needs. This thing is quiet!! Compared to my last one that drowned out all the noise I now use a sleep machine cause you barely hear this one. So far it seems to cool the room pretty well. I like having the remote and it can be hooked up wirelessly if you want. We have this in our master bedroom as we like to sleep cold. I think the price is a little steep and could be cheaper but overall it’s a good machine. Time will tell with the quality. We had to do some changes to get it into our window as we haven’t a roof out our bedroom windows so no wall for the anchor points to sit on but we were able to come up with an option that worked. It would have been nice if the arm pieces gave you more options to place the brace but like I said we were able to work it out. ... show more

    • QUIET AC!

This is a great AC unit. It's so much quieter than standard types. Initially I bought the 8000 BTU version and then like so much got the 10000BTU for another part of the house. I think if I were to do again I'd get 2-10000 ones. The bracket has a better more solid design and the install is easier. We did not screw anything into the sills or trim because the bracket feet on the exterior of the house and the window coming dow between, holds it all firmly in place. Saying that I am only on one floor! So if it fell out it would land on the grass. Regardless you'd be hard pressed to get this thing to move. The instructions in the 8000BTU version are not as clear. I watched a youtube video that was helpful however. Having done it once certainly made the 2nd easier. The remote functions a bit oddly. The app for using remotely works well. I would definitely recommend. I have never liked AC and only in the last few years used in one then a 2nd and now a 3rd room. I have a 1 yr old Frigidaire unit and the sound is shockingly loud comparatively. ... show more

honestly regret not accepting the full refund when it was offered instead of agreeing to a partial refund to keep this AC. I ordered a brand-new AC, but what I received appeared to be a used unit. Now it keeps displaying the error codes EH O3 and PC 01. I’ve tried different outlets and followed everything I could find online to troubleshoot the issue, but nothing has worked. At this point, I feel like I wasted my money on a product that I can’t rely on. I’m extremely disappointed with this purchase and the quality of this brand. I would not recommend this brand. It's a heavy unit and install is definitely complicated vs a traditional windows AC unit but it's efficient and fairly quiet. Cools my room quickly and has adjustable fan and modes which help customize how you want it. I would recommend this over any other window unit of you are looking to buy one for the summer.
