  • Replaced 3 devices
I had a kindle, laptop and tablet. Replaced all three with one device.

  • Not worth it
The Microsoft premium price you will pay for this laptop is not worth it. Here are the recommendations for what to do when your Hello MS Facial Recognition fails after six weeks: 1. Uninstall all possible related drivers, then reinstall all possible related drivers. 2. Do a Factory Reset, losing 50 hours of set-up work 3. Sell your new laptop on e-bay at an 80% discount and buy a new one. Best honest advice: Get a "cover" (aka $200 keyboard) with fingerprint recognition ... show more

  • Indeed a Surface Pro 8
I saw a handful of reviews saying that this was actually a Surface Pro 7 instead of an 8, but thankfully it was indeed a Surface Pro 8; new and as listed.

... show more

  • Fraud, fraud fraud!!!
This seller is trying to pass off Surface Pro 7s as SP8s. If you research the model # & dive deep enough into the system settings you find that the labels & changeable system name are cheap attempts to defraud buyers. Being a new Surface user, I didn’t have a clue until I tried to connect my Signature keyboard. They are not compatible. After a lot of digging & a trip to a local retailer, it was obvious what had happened. When I went to leave feedback & get a return label, there were many reviews saying exactly the same thing! AMAZON should revoke this vendor! I only hope I don’t have a fight getting my money back! ... show more

  • Excellent - not cheap but won't be obsolete anytime soon - a flagship Windows device.
MS have done an excellent job here bridging the gap between a tablet and a laptop. Bought for primarily for digital art in Windows environment but with option to use as a laptop for work: i7/16GB/512GB + Signature keyboard + Slim Pen. The graphite finish looks tidy. The tablet performs excellently - I've a Lenovo Carbon X1 and a Surface Laptop with similar configurations and I'm not experiencing any noticeable difference between the tablet and those laptops. I hear battery life may be an issue. The speakers are acceptable - listen mostly to EDM, the bass is thin but to be expected given the speaker size constraints, have listened to for 12+ hours continuously without tiring. The headphone port has been shifted down, improving over prior versions (although I'd much prefer if it was located at the bottom). Thunderbolt only ports potentially render older connectors obsolete but with few convertors all is well. Have not yet put the camera to use. The keyboard tactility/action is excellent (approaching the feel of Lenovo) and robust. Designing to include the well for the slim pen 2 - big thumbs up. The keyboard attaches in a very positive manner - takes a bit of effort to detach. The trackpad works perfectly (I hear complaints about its size, but I've had no issues). The slim pen 2 is superb - closest yet to the feeling of a pencil on paper. Other devices I tried have the plastic skimming over glass feel, which as an artist, I find highly unappealing. No idea what other devices the pen works on but for me it is definitely worth exploring the Pro 8 and its extra cost for the haptic/tactile sensation of the pen. One issue is the charger - if I don't use the charger that came with the tablet, I get a 'slow charger' error, even though my other chargers are relatively new and charge my Surface laptop perfectly. I've been in comms with MS customer support and they have been excellent. Not cheap but highly recommend if you are a MS Windows user and have the $$$$ - I don't see this tablet becoming obsolete any time soon - a flagship device, esp with the slim pen 2. ... show more
