I really like the all metal case of the Surface Pro. Combination tablet and notebook (with easily detachable keyboard) has plenty of power to perform all of the usual tablet tasks as well as perform well as a laptop. I don't play games on this so I can't speak to that capability. Great on the web, quite responsive. Keyboard has built in trackpad that can be a bit awkward at times. I use a Surface mouse with it instead. Is capable of handwritten note taking with a compatible pen. Battery life could be better; I'm sure a heavy user would drain it within an 8 hour period...probably well within that period. I like the quality of construction, built-in kickstand, boot time (very quick), the all metal case (although this contributes negatively to the overall weight of the Surface.) All in all, a good capable machine for light office, school work, browsing, and note-taking with a Surface Pen (or compatible.) Price may be off-putting, that's why I bought refurb. ... show more

    • Only Worked for a year.
This product was great. Then one day it just stopped working. Will not work unless it is plugged in. When it is working it shuts off and goes blank and random and needs to be started back up. This happens at least every 2 min or less. When not plugged in it will do absolutely nothing. Sounds like some diode needs replaced. Need to find someone to fix it or through it in the trash. ... show more

It came like new, wouldn't have thought of it as refurbished. It works great! Although I have to say that they include the pen in the picture and in some Q&A answers there is a claim that comes with the purchase, you have to go down to the details of the product to find the "pen not included" note, so that cost them the 5th star. So far so good...I was a little hesitant with an Amazon refurbished unit, along with questionable reviews. For half off basically, I had to try it and Im glad I did. It looks brand new and would never know otherwise, keyboard was definitely brand new, power cords, etc all boxed according Microsoft and Amazon specs, works great and I'm glad I found it as I was not able to afford this model at regular price...not even in the ballpark. I am very happy with this Surface Pro 4 and would buy it again for sure. ... show more

    • Everything great except battery
As advertised, I expected the battery life remaining to be at least 80%. I would say it is only 20%. I use it for internet surfing mostly and after an hour or so it has to be recharged. If I leave it unused for several days it won't even turn on without the charger attached. Very disappointed. The other features are great. Nice and crisp display and fast processor. It does NOT come with the pen shown in the photo. I am updating the review. I ordered a Surface Pro 7 NEW this time. It was a bad experience. ... show more

I would have enjoyed this product, but when I received it, Within an hour of use the back of the screen/charging port(with charging cord plugged into port) became hot/overheating. The charging cable also arrived broken at end that connects into the charging port. Also, the connection to the WiFi continuously connected and disconnected itself. There is a problem with the driver/adapter that connects you to the internet. Not all of the keys worked as I tried to do a screenshot to check if worked, it did not, along with trying to adjust the brightness and volume same problem. Lastly, it would not update the windows 10. I’m not sure if this is a common case with this particular model or this particular computer itself. Wish it would have worked out. Returned immediately due to these issues and the item being defective/damaged. ... show more
