Works Well
My son loves Microsoft. He requested a go 3, when his go 2 stopped working correctly. I fixed his go 2 screen and now he has 2 perfectly working Surface Go tablets.

A NICE ALTERNATIVE BUT CERTAINLY NOT AN iPAD
I really like the Apple brand. From iPhones to iPads, they are amazing products in quality and design. In my case, I wanted to bring in a Windows 11 product. Treat it more like a laptop and not a tablet and I especially wanted speed with a responsive touchscreen. 128GB is way too small yet Microsoft has chosen this as their max storage for the Surface Go 3. Yes, you can plug in extra storage via the USB-C port but this unit comes with nearly nothing in the way of ports so real estate is valuable in port displacement. As of April 2023, Amazon shows this with a MICRO SD PORT/SLOT. You'll never find it BUT.... It's located inside or behind the kickstand on the tablet. The weight of the tablet is fabulous in design. It's thin and way too easy to carry around. In my case, my unit has LTE in case I can't find a internet connection. LTE will connect me to cell phone access via e-SIM or a physical sim card (i.e. T-Mobile). The tablet also comes loaded with other carrier choices for LTE. The screen is weak. Brightness is compromised and I had to go into SETTINGS and take it up to 80%. Impossible for outdoor use. On the other hand, the touchscreen is responsive. Feedback is quick and of course I purchased it with a Intel 3 processor. You can add one of two styles of a type keyboard to the unit and that is where the Surface Go 3 really starts to move and handle like a BMW! It's an excellent keyboard with a perfect fit. It weighs nothing. It disconnects with ease via a magnet. The tablet has a rear kickstand and its excellent and ideal for a airplane tray table. APPS come from the Microsoft Store and while not on-par with Apple choices, there are great choices as well. So, my only real negative observation of the Surface Go 3 is the screen quality for brightness, pixel quality and impossible use outdoors in the sun or for that matter any daylight. It's just a tablet. Yet it is perfect for those on-the-go. It beats out any Apple keyboard in design and ease. It loses it for screen quality up against Apple but runs circles around any Samsung or Kindle tablet. My use will be on airplanes, in hotel rooms and sometimes in the car while driving. Thus it is a perfect choice for those use factors.

Would have given 5 stars all the way except..
The media could not be loaded. I paid more for a black one and I received a silver one. So im not very happy with that, and I couldn’t return asap because i teach online. So that was not an option at the time. The packaging was good. Arrived in a timely manner. I wish the pen could snap on other sides too, but it snaps in the left side only.

New device bad out of the box
Complete junk. Screen keeps going black. When I try to open up settings it will act like it is going to load the settings app, but then it just closed the app. Brand new device, just setting it up, never been used.

Underpowered
The i3 doesn't cut it

It is a Go 2, not a Go 3. It is not an Intel I3, it is a m3. False advertising
They sell item claiming being a surface go 3 with intel i3, but it is a surface go 2 with intel m3-8100Y. They claim to be black, it is silver. It comes without the cover box, probably to hide that it is a Go 2, not a Go 3.

Expensive
Likes: Its a tab/computer. Screen key board easy to use. Micro card holder recessed and out of way. LTE option. The usual amenities expected on smart devices are included. Dislikes: Price is too high considering other outstanding name brand alternative's. Too many privacy intrusive tracking software which is impossible to turn off and keep off. Unfortunately battery life is just OK however the more power packed an item the more power hungry it will be. Overall: Device anticipates what you are doing and automatically brings things together. Giving an honest star rating is difficult to do because my likes may be an dislike to you. To be honest I do like the device but have buyers remorse because I believe I may have bought a close match device for much less money.
