  • Really expands your options for a low price. Best for full-frame cameras.
[UPDATE: Product seems to have changed to something else. At time of review this was for one-piece metal adapter that connects a DSLR to a microscope] This is especially suited to a full-frame DSLR; if you intend to use a DSLR with a smaller sensor, you might prefer the adapter that has lenses (they will shrink&brighten the image for smaller sensors, though might also add to chromatic aberration), but for this price you might as well try this one first. It has no glass in it, it's just a metal adapter. On my microscope the full-frame sensor captures most of the image from the microscope through this (the camera frame is wider, and nearly - but not quite - as tall as the circular image). A camera with a smaller sensor will crop out more of the image. You use the microscope to focus the camera, there is no aperture so you control exposure using shutter-speed and ISO (though best results for still shots will be at low ISO with longer exposure times, so a remote shutter trigger is also useful) ... show more

  • Perfect student microscope, Excellent lens and good price
In this price, the lens is perfect. Build quality seems excellent and the clear lens is pretty amazing as are the optics. Best purchase ever!

Not sure what the accompanying picture has to do with the adapter, but it's well made and functions well. Only problem is that is rotates in the eyepiece holder, changing the picture orientation.

  • Great microscope
I bought this to use with my children for their homeschooling and i liked the phone feature to easier show them things and talk about the different parts.

  • 40x never worked.
The 40x never worked. It is possible that the optical insert was damaged. 4x and 10x are good for basic viewing. Having a phone attachment is nice - especially when viewing with kids

  • Perfect Fit with Astromania Canon EOS-M T2 adapter
Perfect Fit with Astromania Canon EOS-M T2 adapter with M42 to 1.25" Telescope Adapter combined because of a lack of available 23mm Microscope adapters for EOS-M this greatly diversified what I can do with this great camera.

  • Great item for the price.
I connect this one to my Cannon T1i and then to the microscope in place of the eyepiece lens. I can then take pictures, videos with the camera or with the computer when connected to it.
