Description

The Kickboard Compact is the next step up from the Maxi - perfect for young teens and smaller adults. The 3-wheel Kickboard offers the same axle style steering as the Mini and Maxi - riders simply lean to steer, similar to riding a skateboard but with more control. The Compact's slightly shorter aluminum deck makes it easy for teens and smaller adults to handle. The Compact's handlebar can be folded-down upon arriving at your destinationโ€” portable and convenient. The Compact's tested weight capacity is 220 lbs but we would recommend it for use up to about 170 lbs. For riders above 170 pounds, we generally suggest looking at the Kickboard Original. Now with interchangeable T-bar/Joystick! Quickly and conveniently convert your kickboard from the more "traditional" T-bar steering over to the Joystick steering, which provides more of a skateboarding or longboarding feel. Please note, when you take this product out of its display box, it will arrive in "Joystick mode." The components needed to convert your handlebar over to a T-bar are included right inside the box with your scooter and instruction manual. As aforementioned, switching from one handlebar style over to the other is quite easy!

I like this product very much and I use it for fun and for going places - short distance only. I have to learn how to ride it at home first and practice how to turn. At the beginning I had a hard time turning the wheels to where I wanted to go, and with a little practice of shifting my weights to the right or left, I could then turn to where I wanted to go. This is our 3rd Micro scooter. My two boys have used the kid version since they were 3 and 4 and the now 13 year old just grew out of his. These scooters can take a serious beating!! They are both still in working order but he wanted the adult version for his birthday. This one is by far even nicer than the kids version. Super happy with this purchase and I tell everyone to buy a Micro instead of cheaper junk versions. Extra parts are super easy to get too from the Micro website. Worth EVERY penny! ... show more

Excellent quality 3 wheel scooter. It is actually metal and the build quality is superb. Yes it is quite expensive and feel it would be more reasonable at $149 but compared to other 3 wheeled scooters this one will outlast them all and you get what you pay for. I looked everywhere for quality 3 wheeled scooters and this is the only company i could find that makes them to this quality and durability. Im sure my kids will enjoy it for years to come especially that you can buy replacement parts if need be. ... show more

Weโ€™ve had several Micro Kickboard Scooters, including the Mini and Macro kids sizes. Weโ€™ve always appreciated the design and initial performance of the scooters but had to replace bearings and wheels frequently with daily, year-round use in the North-East. Every metal surface of the last Maxi was completely rusted and the plastic stained when we finally retired it. I wish weโ€™d looked at the Compact adult scooter sooner. Itโ€™s slightly more expensive but much better built. The steering is much more precise and it seems to roll with far less friction. With the sturdy construction and availability of replacement parts, I expect this one to last much longer than the earlier ones. If you have a child graduating from the Mini, Iโ€™d consider this a better next step than the Maxi. Itโ€™s also great that I can jump on and ride it if needed, as it has a much higher maximum weight capacity. ... show more

I needed to get around quickly, and this is just perfect. It takes a lot of patience to learn balance and turning, and my legs are sore after each ride. But I consider that a good thing. I strongly suggest that users alternate feet during a ride to equalize the strength building in both legs. , The choice of foot on the scooter depends on the banking of the surface you are riding on at the time. Not only has this given me the exercise and quick ride I wanted, it has also loosened up the muscles around my sciatica in my lower back and buttocks. Best PT I have ever had for that problem. This folds up nicely, and the handle telescopes down. Easy to board a bus with, and for storage in your car. I teach disaster preparedness in my area and have been recommending this as emergency transport for people who don't have room for folding bicycles in their vehicles. ... show more

I bought the black and silver Micro Kickboard Compact Scooter. Both were delivered in 2 Days and in good condition. These were to be โ€œstep upโ€ scooters for my girls (both 10 & small framed). Wow.. these are more like fierce upgrades! (Going from Yvolution 3 wheeled glider to this)...Nothing compares. These are rock solid, well built, compact, and made of light weight metal. (Y Gliders were mostly plastic, which was fine at the time/age and overall a great glider as well). These are Xmas gifts so they have not rode them yet, but i was impressed with the test drive i did. These gliders will definitely be something they will use for a long time & well worth the money. ... show more
