  • Fast, working as stated but HARD to Get working
Color: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D + ASUS R Strix B650E...
First, you MUST update the BIOS to the latest version. A MUST! For me this motherboard is very picky with a lot of small issues. Youtube is your best friend here, just search each issue you have one at a time to see fixes with helped me a lot. I am not a expert but have built a few PC's. Once done, it seems like a nice system. NOTE: I still have one major issue and that is bluetooth. I have a bluetooth keyboard and it connects fine (MXKEYS) but as soon as you reboot the system no bluethooth devices auto reconnect. I also tried with sony x1000 headphones and same issue. You have to go and reconnect after every boot. Not sure if this is a windows 11 issue or this motherboard bluetooth issue. ... show more

  • Bios update required
Very nice combo. Be prepared to update bios because it won't boot until that's done. Be sure to have a USB stick and search internet for process. Overall I like this setup. Haven't had a chance to install games yet but I expect they will run fine.

  • No bios update needed
Everything was well packaged and worked right out of the box! I was worried about needing to flash bios after reading some other reviews, but it was not necessary. You're safe ordering this combo!

  • great middle expense upgrade to build your own system
Color: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X + ASUS TUF GAMING X670...
I needed an upgrade after 5 years and these were a good medium match to get me into future. I used a Corsair 4000D case and was super easy and successful. Just be careful to google bios upgrade videos and carefully follow the instructions. My video card installed covered SATA drive connectors 1 and 2, so install those cables before you install video card. Or you have to remove and reinstall it. Plenty of info out there on installation process. I kept my drives and video card, but new would not be an issue. I recommend the Samsung SSD drives, super easy with their software to transfer operation system in old drive to the Samsung. I added this new one. Yea go for it. Been years since I did my last build and very pleased with results. ... show more

  • Not too flashy but not too expensive
Color: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X + ASUS TUF GAMING X570...
The media could not be loaded. The title of my review is more room for the motherboard as obviously the ryzen 7 5800x won't be the flashiest thing in the world because it will be underneath a cooler. Of course unless you're getting like a crazy 64 core 128 thread CPU then the cooler for that will definitely stand out. Regardless, it's a perfect pairing exactly what I was looking for and at a really great price. ... show more

  • Bios and USB woes.... but fairly stable in the end
Color: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X + ASUS ROG STRIX X670E...
Once I got a downgraded bios version onto my Asus Rog Syrix x670e wifi gaming, stuck one stick of ram in slot A2, I was able to get it to post. Once I was able to post I could get the 2nd stick in set the timings to D.O.C.P tweaked and hit the speeds advertised. With a 4090 and a 7950x I'm hitting 100-120 fps in flight in Star Citizen. (70-90 in Area 18) Integrated it into my setup via a dual display portd usb kvm, everything was going great until I updated my bios to 1709 and the USB partially stopped working. Lost about 4 hourd troubleshooting and reading forim posts, Fixed it eventually by connecting a 2nd keyboard and mouse, disconnecting all devices connected to the KVM and plunging them in one at a time to get the devices connected to the KVM working again. ... show more

  • Remember the 5500 needs a GPU to work period.
Color: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 + ASUS Prime B450M-A II
If you’re trying to do an incremental build the 5500 works great but remember you have to have a graphics card as the cpu has no graphics support. If you have a gpu you can toss in with it then go with it as it is great bang for the buck but if you think you’re going to run it without for a while then you will be like me getting a cheap gpu until you save up for the one you want. ... show more

  • BIOS issue? Who knows.
Color: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 + ASUS Prime B450M-A II
Combo did not POST out of the box, could not get it to boot after updating BIOS. AMD has been dropped from my builds because of this SKU-BIOS issue. I need it to work without having to buy and return multiple levels of CPU and motherboard, and given that this combo is advertised to be compatible, I had higher hopes. I am an Intel builder from here out. Horrible. Was an AMD advocate for 20 years. So sad. ... show more
