Description

When the MICHELIN Commander II tire was released it set the standard in terms of tire life, almost doubling the life that consumers would see from its competitors. In addition to long tire life, Michelin has incorporated MICHELIN Amplified Density Technology (ADT) which increases responsiveness. Commissioned third party tests conducted in 2011 on public roads comparing MICHELIN Commander II tires, Metzeler ME880, and Dunlop D407/D408 tires in sizes 130/80B17 and 180/65B16. Individual results may vary depending on motorcycle type and operating conditions.

I really don’t like that unsafe feeling when I’m riding. Especially when the pack rides hard and fast. Although it hardly ever rains in Southern California when it does, and you got bald tires it’s the worst. All the oil and debris rise up making it feel as if your fish tailing on the freeway going 75-80mph is not fun but with the bike being my only transportation sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do but other times when it’s dumping out here you gotta network and find other ways to get around. So I saw on prime that it would take 2-3days to arrive and scheduled how I was gonna get to work for those days but was shocked when it said part was shipped I was like I’ve seen that before no way. And then another update I was so stoked , which is why I’m writing this review, something I never do but with the fast shipping i took my wheel off and next day tire arrived and was able to install it and be back on the road within 24hrs you just can’t beat that service. Of course the rain stopped when I got my new tire on but still i was back on the road going a buck 10 till the end hitting the canyons felt so good and grip was top notch and can’t beat the price of these especially when not a single dealer or vendor doesn’t carry these anymore. They all carry those junk commander threes the performance of these tires is unbeatable. And the value of these is lower than every other website and installation was cake if you got the right tools….and a tire machine of course. Don’t think about it , just buy these tires. Or actually don’t…I’m gonna need some in a few months with all the burn outs and drifting I’ll be doing on a street or parking lot near your moms house suckkaaaaass!! I put a set of Commander II on my 2015 HD Ultra Classic. These are great tires for a touring bike. They handle well in wet and dry weather. My bike seemed to ride and handle better. I don't think one would realistically get as many miles as some would have you think. I have 10K miles on mine. I should get another 1K - 2K miles out of it. I would imagine I'll get another 5K-6K out of it. My front tire is at the bottom of the green range on the HD tread measurement tool. I have no complaints about the mileage though other than some advertising would make one think they would get 20K+. Bottom line, the mileage is as good or better than Dunlop tire in handling and mileage and they are less expensive. Good reasons for me to go with another pair before long. ... show more

This fit the Yamaha Bolt r-spec and it works well for me. I ride a lot of curvy mountain roads and these tires feel good and grip well. I had these in heavier rain a few times and I felt fine, of course I was being more cautious than usual but I believe these tires do better in the rain than my previous ones. So far I put about 2,000 miles on these tires and have not noticed significant wear. I can't say for sure but I am under the impression that these with last just as long or longer than the average tires. Installation wasn't too bad, I had to use tire weights. I also bought the front tire of this model and I noticed the death wobble went away. Before these, I had Bridgestone Exedras. It seems like those tires are stock and many Bolt riders complain of the wobble, so I am guessing the Bridgestone tires were too blame ... show more
