I know it says not to use it on your face. I get it. Having salicylic acid that close to orifaces probably isn't the best idea... BUT it has done wonders for the KP on my face. I've been applying it 1-2x daily on my face (avoiding areas around my eyes and nostrils) and I no longer have to exfoliate my face every day with harsh body scrubs to get the dead skin off. I don't have sores or noticable skin flakes on my face anymore and my pores are getting smaller. This works better for me than other products that are marketed for KP ( 12% lactic acid creams, adapalene cream, glycolic acid cleansers, etc.). I also like the fact that it contains soothing ingredients that calm my skin and reduce redness. Pictures included: one of the side of my face the first day I started using this product, and one of my face straight on after using it for 2 weeks. My daughter has horrible psoriasis on her scalp, behind her ear. Dermatologists have prescribed several sticky, unpleasant ointments which did nothing. Out of desperation and based on reviews I tried this lotion. It has been the ONLY product that has worked!! And it worked quickly. It doesn't smell, and it's not sticky. I bought all 3 of the MG217 products looking for something to help curb my outbreak after year. Tanning was helping but then purchased the MG217 based on reviews and really think that was the golden ticket. I have had much better response from this stuff than I have with the prescribed stuff from my doctor. MG217 Psoriasis Dead Sea Mud and Salt Dual Bar: I think it helps, goes fast though. After 7 showers there was nothing left of the "mud" side of the salt side wasn't far behind. I would recommend it as I believe it is helping with the MG217 Tar Ointment as I have seen a lot of improvement. MG217 Medicated Tar Ointment: GET THIS NOW!!! STOP LOOKING AROUND!!! It smells, so you wouldn't want to use it before work but the stuff works! Also, a little bit goes a long way. I recommend getting this along with the MG217 dual bar soap. MG217 Psoriasis Cream: Waste of money IMO. All it seemed to do for me was dry out my skin. I wasn't using it 3-4 times a day like it recommends (it smells) but after each use my skin seemed really dry like it had no effect other than leaving behind a weird sweetish smell. ... show more

Okay, here is why I like this product better than the others I have tried. Basic dermatology for the layman is, " If it is dry wet it. If it is wet dry it. When in doubt use steroids." I use this product for psoriasis and like the way it keeps the area damp to touch fro a long period of time. I saw noticeable improvement in 3 days with no scaling seen and underlying skin going from red to pink. Itching has also been relieved. Very Pleased! ... show more

I had been struggling with scalp psoriasis for over 10 years. I spent hundreds on different kind of ointments dermatologist prescribed and nothing seemed to work. The itching and flaking was really bad and embarrassing. One day I logged on FB and researched pages, a customer raved about how MG217 had helped her with the same problem I was encountering.     • Cleared up severly dry, cracked skin
Actually worked! My boyfriend had one hand (just one, so weird) where his skin was severely dry and cracked. It would split apart no matter how much moisturizer, cream, lotion, or oil he applied. He'd use bag balm at night and coconut oil - nothing worked until we tried this! I bought some based on a dermatologist website where someone wrote in with a problem that sounded like the same thing. I was skeptical but it really worked! Not sure it will work unless your skin condition is the same (and we never got an actual diagnosis on anything) but it is certainly worth a try! ... show more

I have suffered from psoriasis almost my entire life. I have a large patch of psoriasis that I have been trying to get rid of for years. My skin doesn't respond at all to coal tar. I have only received results with acid. I use this lotion in conjunction with a 50% lactic acid treatment as well. This lotion works well as long as you don't have too much dead skin on your psoriasis. If I have too much dead skin on top, this lotion makes my psoriasis itchier than normal. However, if I don't have a large buildup of dead skin, this lotion works better than any other psoriasis lotion that I have ever used. I highly recommend it! ... show more

Got this for my mother as she suffers from rather severe plaque psoriasis and, at the time, was unable to get her prescribed medication. She still uses it, even now that she gets her prescription. It does wonders at keeping the 'scales' off and the skin clear so the medication can get down in the living skin rather than just the 'scales'. ... show more
