This is a nice-looking pergola but I should have known that there would be issues. The box's weight is 97 pounds and as you would expect, when it arrived, the box was beaten up. I unpacked it and found a damaged component. The assembly itself took me a whole day due to poor instructions and some defects in the components making assembly difficult. I had to retap several threaded holes along the way and even had to drill a few that they forgot to put in. Amazon was good about providing replacements for the damaged components. ... show more

    • Was an obvious return
I bought two of these to help keep the sun off of my front windows (one on each side of the front door). Both boxes arrived significantly damaged and taped back together. They were dropped off when I wasn't home so I couldn't refuse delivery. I opened the first box: half of the pieces weren't wrapped in their plastic. The empty plastic was just shoved into the box with the parts. There was no hardware and no instructions. I couldn't even verify I had all the parts. Since the second box was in the same shape, I didn't even open it. I've requested a refund. I don't mind receiving open box items, but they should be labeled as such on the description and should be checked for missing items: especially instructions and hardware.     • Can’t put together
Received items with holes located on wrong side, so we are not able to screw it together. So now I’m suppose to pack up the huge heavy box and return it just to receive a whole new pergola that we’re hoping will be correct this time.
