Style:Carbon Fiber | Color:Black The MeVIDEO GlobeTrotter makes it easier to take a video tripod and monopod when you travel. This reverse folding tripod features anodized aluminum with brushed metal edging. Its available in black and titanium finishes and you have your choice of aluminum or carbon fiber legs. The fluid like head supports 8.8 lb. or 4 kg. You have two main controls on this head. Pan lock and tilt control. Next to the pan lock we have a bubble level so you can make sure you're level before your shot. The tilt control is a nice oversized lock knob, which can provide some drag for heavier rigs. One of the most unique things about this tripod is in its center column. Its pretty much what makes this type of tripod possible. You can raise or lower the center column for height adjustment as you would with any center column. But since it has the leveling adapter at the top of the column you don't have to adjust each leg to level the tripod.

My primary camera is the Blackmagic Pocket 4K. It's generally fully rigged out with a SmallRig cage, rod support, dovetail, follow focus, lens support, DZOFilm 20-70 lens, swing away matte box, 7in monitor and v mount battery. In this configuration, I use my Sachtler tripod but there are times when I need to be lighter and faster. That's when I grab this little bad boy and I'm very pleased. I can't fully rig out my camera like I'm used to doing but I can still put a good deal on it before I get to the maximum load. If it had just a few more bells and whistles, I would absolutely sing it's praises such as adjustable counter balance and snap locks for the legs for faster set up. My Flowtech 75 sets up in less than half the time but it's too much of a beast to take on hikes like this tripod. ... show more

    • Can not handle shooting in windy conditions but love the weight of it!

I love the weight of this tripod, that part I'd even give 5 stars. But, I do film a lot of video and if it is at all windy, the footage comes out very shakey because of this tripod. As a filmmaker, that's tough because it will ruin the shot, and if I'm outside, which I am a lot, that's not good. You can't always shoot in little to no wind, but that being said, I have lugged many heavier tripods around the world, and this one was great. Just keep in mind, if it's windy, and you shoot video, it will not come out as stable footage. Very nice pro level tripod. Like others one must be careful, the plate has to come down to tighten the thumb screw. Works great with a Black Magic Cinema 4k, no complaints. Nice sturdy roadworthy case too.
