  • Great scooter, I shopped around and this is the real deal
I shopped around for a scooter for a relative for a few months and it was a nightmare at first. There aren't any stores that carry scooters near where I live, so it is pretty much buy online only. I did some research and one store to avoid was scooter supermarket. i found a scooter i wanted, had some questions, called the company (deluxe scooters), who answered my questions describing the scooter as what i wanted, so i ordered it. my order confirmation came from scooter supermarket. i knew i was in trouble! needless to say, the scooter came, i was lied to about it, wouldn't have bought it if i had been told the truth. I tried contacting them for 2 weeks to return it and they charged me $465 to return the scooter. Anyway, on to the Metro M1 - first of all, Metro has been first class to deal with. Shipping, packaging, customer service, all great. The scooter actually works just as described also, which is fantastic. I will say there are 2 things that I would change. First, the beeping when you backup, have that be something you can disable. Second, the "headlight" is not very bright, I don't see it being all that useful. If you truly need to see where you are going at night, you're going to need a flashlight also. But those are 2 very minor things and I would buy this again tomorrow! ... show more

  • Great price and great product.
Style: M1 Red
5 FT 8 Inch 78 year woman in need of a comfortable mobility scooter. After 3 weeks of use, I am impressed with the quality of this scooter for the price. Very easy to drive, maneuver, and really comfortable. Very happy with the purchase. Had a younger friend assemble it. Took about 15 minutes. Really great directions. ... show more

  • Out of the box great!
I've added to this regarding usage experience. Separating the parts for loading is easy. Loading into our SUV goes great. The individual components are lighter and easier to load than a wheel chair. Works great, easy to maneuver. Speed control is responsive. People have commented on how easy it is to load after seeing me in the grocery store parking. Just recieved and assembled it. Super easy! Don't know about the performance yet, I'll update that after we've used it some. Notes on receiving and assembly: 1. The box is heavy. 100 pounds heavy. You may need help. You will need some sort of wheeled device to move it. (If you don't have anything, buy a two wheeler from Lowes or Home Depot. Use it this once, clean it up, and return it for refund. Just say you changed your mind.) 2. Lay the box flat on the floor. Right side up. Cut the straps and carefully cut the tape. Don't cut deep. Open the box and take out the easy stuff. Read the two page instructions. No, really read them. 3. After you take out the easy stuff, cut all 4 corners of the box to lay it flat. This will give you easy access to the rest of the parts. 4. Following the instructions, complete the assembly. Charge the battery 12 hours! If you want to move the assembled scooter look on the right rear fender. Little lever with pictures on the sticker. Move the lever forward and roll the scooter where you want to. Move the lever back to lock. 5. Clean up and dispose of the packing. Sit down with your preferred beverage and read the instruction book like I'm getting ready to. ... show more

  • Not as Described
Style: Max Plus Purple
First let me say that I think Mike in Customer Service is great. He was very instrumental in resolving some of my issues. The scooter is defiantly smaller then described on Amazon. It's about 8 inches shorter and a couple of inches in width. There is Very Very little leg room for a larger man. Seat for larger man is not very comfortable and definitely not very soft. Arm rests are very small and again not for a larger person. When mine arrived the battery charger and phone USB on the tiller did not work. Turned out to a disconnected wire. Thanks Mike. Over all performance has been good so far, but just not very comfortable. ... show more

  • Easy to put together.
Style: M1 Plus Red
Just got it today. It's very easy to put together. But, It's definitely too heavy for a elderly or handicap person to put in and out of car by themselves. This is not meant for carpet, but rides ok on hard wood floors. Took it outside and it does well on side walks, street, and short grass. I'm 5'2 and it's just barely big enough for my short legs. Anyone taller than myself would have a problem. I have to put my feet above front wheels, not the place right in front of me. As far as speed, it goes pretty fast. ... show more

  • Almost perfect
Style: Metro M1 Chrome
Price wise, it is a great deal. It disassembles easily for loading/unloading. Power is great and battery life is great. My only complaint is that the steering column does not stay tightened and works loose as I move the scooter. I think it is a design flaw and will try and figure out how to make it stay tighter. ... show more

  • Great mobility cart❣️
Style: Max Sport Grey
This is a fantastic mobility cart, very good quality and heavier than others. The maneuverability is good, the steering and throttle are ergonomic for arthritic hands. The seat is comfy and there is plenty of foot room. Easy to assemble.

  • Great scooter!
Style: Max Plus Blue
I really like this scooter. Its top speed is almost too fast, but I'm very happy with the speed variability available on this model. I took it on a trip recently to another city via Amtrak. It worked out beautifully. They were able to load it onto the train easily and it fits on our local buses/light rail. Comfortable seating, and the cane holder is very helpful. It has a very satisfactory battery life and the scooter handles well. I've received a number of complements on how nice this scooter looks (mine is blue). The cup holders are terrific and handy for other items as well. To be fair, I have to include a few Cons: The battery is heavy, and it's much easier to put into the back of my truck with the battery removed. The scooter is a bit too heavy for me to lift into my truck alone, but my truck bed is rather high. It would have been nice if there were assembly instructions enclosed. I had to use the user manual to figure out how everything fit together. The headrest wasn't included in either of the two boxes, but I didn't plan to use it anyhow. As my first mobility scooter, I don't think I could have picked a better scooter. ... show more
