  • Not exact fit for 1995 Integra GS-R
I just installed this kit in my 1995 Integra GS-R. It fits, though the rear does not attach the way they indicate in the instruction manual. I ended up using the DIN style mounting with the side attachments. I cut the top clips off the mount as instructed, and wiggled the radio and bracket in place. The rear of the bracket has two holes which are supposed to somehow screw into a sub-dash assembly. Rather, in this case the rear of the bracket happens to just clear (with a lot of force) a metal support bar under my dash, and it rests on top of it. I had to put some rubber bumpers under the radio on the bracket to support the radio at an angle where I could snap in the faceplate cover when all was said and done. The mount appears to work fine, despite the extra steps above. I took a photo and notes to remind myself how to get it out if I ever swap this radio out for a different one, since that will be quite a bit of work. But I think it will hold, since the bracket in the rear is pretty solidly resting on the metal bar under the dash, and there are 4 clips (2 on the side and 2 on the bottom) holding the assembly from the front. I do like that this kit has the pocket like the factory mount did. Not sure I would buy this again...I'm always concerned when the instructions don't quite match up with the car, though it does seem to work anyway. I'll update my review if I encounter any difficulties after driving with it for awhile. ... show more

  • Replaced a factory stereo in 97 Accord - Worked well
I purchased this kit to install a JVC KD-R200 in my 97 Accord 4dr Special Edition. This was to replace the OEM CD/AM/FM stereo. The kit provided instructions which I supplemented with a bit of research on the internet to remove the old stereo. The instructions for installation were straightforward and easy to use. The kit provided a reasonably sturdy installation. It is nowhere near as rock solid as the OEM stereo was, but very acceptable. I paired this with a "Metra 70-1720 Radio Wiring Harness For Honda/Acura 86-98 Power 4 Speaker" to get a clean installation which required me to cut none of the cars wiring. The install took less than 90 minutes and was my first time ever trying it. I would recommend this kit to retain the original look of the dash and allow you to install without altering the original vehicle dash in any way. ... show more

  • 2001 Acura Integra, worked great
Worked better than I expected. I'm new to the aftermarket audio world and needed a fitment kit for my new radio, checked out all the kits on amazon that were supposed to fit my car. All of the kits are plastic and appear to held in place with clips. I decided on this kit and it keeps the factory look with the little cubby. The radio is held with screws to the fit kit and the kit its self is held in the dash with clips at the front of the kit to the dash panels and on the back side a large tab required a large amount of assistance getting over metal bracket inside the dash, but once there is supported very well and the radio isn't going to fall or be quickly removed(stolen) without the disassembly required for the factory radio. The tab at the back could be easily modified if quick removal is desired. ... show more

  • Good for 1st gen Odyssey/Oasis
I put this in a 98 Isuzu Oasis to fit a Kenwood MPC345. It needed a little Dremel/file work on the factory opening, but once that was done, it fit securely. The plastic isn't as high quality as the OEM bin, but I don't think you would get that anywhere. You wouldn't know it's not OEM just by looking at the final installation. My only (minor) gripe is that it's a little "buzzy" at certain rpm's when accelerating. I'm sure this could be fixed with some padding on the back side of the bin, but I'm too lazy to take off the dash panels again. It satisfied my key requirement of keeping a bin for storage. ... show more

  • however I was very disappointed with how they decided to pack and ship it
The product itself was adequite, however I was very disappointed with how they decided to pack and ship it. They simply sqeezed it into a small clear plastic bag and slapped on a shipping label, being that there is a few areas made of very fragile thin plastic there was two areas cracked when I received it though luckily not structural parts. If I had not been in a time crunch i would have likely returned it but I needed to take care of an install so I glued it up and was able to install it just fine. I am also worried about how the plastic bracket that anchors the mount to the car will hold up in the long term as the manufacturer mount is a thick metal bracket compared to this fairly rigid plastic but so far it seems to be solid enough after assembly and installation. ... show more

  • Fits great, nice instructions
I used this kit to install a new stereo in my 97 Accord. The bracket fit perfectly in the dash and I didn't have any trouble getting the new stereo installed in the bracket. The instructions were great - they gave step-by-step instructions on what to do in order to get the dash apart. Sometimes it can be hard to tell what you need to unscrew or remove, and it's easy to waste time and get frustrated. With the instructions I had the dash apart and the old stereo out quickly, and from there it was an easy task to get the bracket and new stereo installed. I spent well under an hour on it, including a function test before I put everything back together. Pair this kit with the appropriate wiring adapter for a clean, trouble-free installation. ... show more
